Vice-President Board Member Since 2016 Emery Ivey, An Eastern NC businessman, joined the Big Rock Board of Directors in the fall of 2016 and brings a fresh perspective to the inner workings of the Board.

JACK JORDAN

Past President 2005-2007 President, Big Rock Foundation Board Member Since 1998 Executive Vice President of Jordan Lumber & Supply, Inc. in Mt Gilead, North Carolina. Jack has maintained a local residence at 8-1/2 Marina Village for over 30 years.

HOWARD BASNIGHT

Board Member Since 1991 Former charter and private boat captain, and Rules Committee member, Howard brings good advice to the table. His historical catch of a 1002 lb. "Grander" blue marlin August 12, 1989, aboard his charter boat Wave Runner, will keep him in the record books for years to come. Howard has served on the Board of Directors for 30 years.

BILLY KORNEGAY

Past President 2001-2003, 2015-2017 Board Member Since 1981 Billy supports the board in many areas including having run the committee boat from 1986 to 1998. Billy fished the Big Rock aboard the Sugar Bear beginning in 1972. Billy has maintained a local residence at 8-1/2 Marina Village for over 40 years. Co-Owner and CEO of Eastern Wrecker Sales Inc. Since 1969.

CAROL LOHR

Board Member Since 1998 Carol brings tourism marketing and promotion/media experience to the board. She enjoys cooking, fishing, horseback riding and travel. Founding member of the Lady Angler Committee, she is married to Kenny Lohr and they are raising a German Shepard named Smoke! Secretary Board Member Since 1999 Richard has served on the board of directors since 1999. He has fished the Big Rock since 1976 and maintains a residence in 8-1/2 Marina Village here in Carteret County. Richard is President of Delta Equipment Enterprises, Inc.

ROGER CROWE

Past President 1999-2001, 2012-2014 Secretary, Big Rock Foundation Board Member Since 1991 Roger Crowe, Attorney at Law, provides legal support and sound advice to the Big Rock Board during the tournament and throughout the year.

LES COLLINS

Board Member Since 2015 Les has worked over 36 years in the boating industry as President / Owner of Collins Inc, Smithfield, NC (established 1956). He is an Eagle Scout who enjoys fishing, hunting and traveling across the US. Les also serves on the Board at 8 1/2 Marina Village where he has maintained a residence since 2002.

JIM BAILEY

Past President 1997-1999 Board Member Since 1992

Jim and his wife Katherine are owners of the Anchorage Marina in Atlantic Beach and he is an active commercial and residential Realtor and also develops waterfront properties in the Carteret County area. Jim and his father were one of the private boats to fish the first Big Rock in their private boat. He was on the dock at the old Morehead City Yacht Basin when the first Blue Marlin was brought to the docks by the crew of the Mary Z and witnessed the parade through town of the wagon full of prize money which had been raised to promote offshore fishing out of Morehead. That Fabulous Fishing Club became the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament. Over the years he has fished most of the east coast bill fish tournaments from the Florida Keys to Virginia. He was one of the founders of the original tournament that has now become the Big Rock Kids Tournament. He and his wife live in Atlantic Beach at the Anchorage Marina surrounded by water and boat slips.
