How to schedule the perfect day at WaterSound Beach Club

Feel like sticking closer to home? There’s a wealth of activities and experiences waiting for you at the Beach Club.

THE VERDICT IS IN, and it’s unanimous — there’s no better place for a full day of family fun than at WaterSound Beach Club! With so much to off er the entire family, it can be hard to choose how to spend your day. We’ve created the perfect itinerary to soak up every bit of excitement at the Beach Club.

MORNING Longtime Members know that morning is one of the best times to enjoy WaterSound Beach Club. The gates open at 9 a.m., so get there early and head straight to the beach. The Beach Services team is sure to set you up with a comfortable spot to serve as your family’s home base in the sand. Complimentary kayaks and paddleboards are an ideal way to explore Camp Creek Lake or, if the water is fl at, the Gulf of Mexico. If listening to the surf with a good book in hand is more your style, you are in the right place. The towering sand dunes and the turquoise Gulf waters that stretch far past the horizon create the perfect atmosphere no matter how you choose to enjoy the beach.

LUNCH With beach time and lunch checked off your itinerary, the choices at WaterSound Beach Club cater to everyone’s tastes. Surely the kids will want to grab a tube and fl oat on the lazy river’s tranquil waters, which will off er mom and dad the perfect opportunity to get some shade under an umbrella placed between two well-positioned poolside lounge chairs. For those looking to burn off some of those lunchtime calories, this would be the time to hit the basketball or tennis courts — maybe even getting in a tennis lesson to sharpen those backhand skills.

By the time midday rolls around, everyone will probably be ready to get out of the sun and grab a bite at one of the Beach Club’s two dining venues. 30°86°, the Club’s original eatery, has served up classic coastal favorites for years. If the family prefers fl avors from south of the border, Costa Chica Tacos & Treats is the way to go. And with several large TVs, it has become a gameday favorite for every sports fan in the family. EVENING As day turns to night, you might discover that there’s no reason to leave the Beach Club. The Sunset Bar at 30°86° provides one of the coast’s most Instagram-worthy spots for taking in a beach sunset. Of course, putting your feet back in the sand will also give you an ideal vantage point of the colorful sky while the kids enjoy one last splash in the calm Gulf waters. Chef Preetam and his team create unique dinner features on most nights, and dinner will provide an opportunity for you to visit whichever dining venue you passed up for lunch. Be aware of the Club’s event schedule because you might fi nd yourself competing in a trivia or bingo night, or listening to live music and watching the kids dance the night away.
