We love being active and know that our guests enjoy playing multiple sports during their getaways. Whether it’s spending a day on the golf course or trying something new like pickleball, visitors with Resort Collection have access to numerous outdoor activities.

THE FASTEST GROWING SPORT YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF
One of the fastest growing sports in America involves a court and a net. But it’s not tennis or badminton, it’s pickleball. For the uninitiated, pickleball is something of a mix between tennis, racquetball and ping pong. Players use special paddles and a wiffle ball, and games take place on tennis courts with specific pickleball lines. Nets and court sizes are smaller than their tennis counterparts, and the most common game is doubles, although singles is also an option. It has its own set of quirky rules — for instance, try to stay out of the “kitchen”— but they’re easy to learn. The game is also quick, making it a convenient way to get in some exercise. Games in a typical league run only 15 minutes each — you can get in as little or as much as you want.
The Club at Edgewater recently added three pickleball courts to their expanding list of resort amenities. Equipment is available to rent, and a court reservation is required to play. Contact The Club at Edgewater by calling (850) 235-7324.
PAR-TEE AT EDGEWATER
Also available at The Club at Edgewater is the exclusive nine-hole executive golf course. Spend a leisurely afternoon out on the fairways among lush greenery, lakes and the Edgewater Golf Villas. Cart rentals are available, and tee times are required. For information about golf and tennis membership with The Club at Edgewater, call the pro shop at (850) 235-7324 or dial extension 324 from your suite.

TIME FOR A LITTLE PUTT-PUTT

What is the solution to working on your short game while also having some Panama City Beach fun with the whole family? Miniature golf! Available at one of Resort Collection’s newest resorts, Gulf Highlands Resort, this 18-hole miniature golf course is perfect for practicing your putt or giving the little ones a fun activity. Equipment may be available for use in your suite at Gulf Highlands Resort, but we recommend bringing your own. To inquire about play and availability, please call (850) 563-1000.
THE NICKLAUS COURSE
