▶ LOCALLY, RUNNING THROUGH BOTH Walton and Okaloosa counties, U.S. Highway 98 is the longest state road that runs through Florida and is one of the longest state roads in any U.S. state, coming in third behind U.S. Highway 101 in California and U.S. Highway 83 in Texas. It spans Florida from the Alabama state line in the western-most region of the Panhandle down to Palm Beach in the southeastern region of the Peninsula.
