11 a.m. Service

She awoke at 9:25 a.m. on a Sunday morning; not for a particular reason but just to be arising. Then, it somehow came into her mind that perhaps making that 11 o’clock service might be the best choice; due to the fact that she had been seeing so many unexpected blessings. She laid around a little while longer then finally got dressed. Of course, it would be too close to perfection for her to have arrived on time. So, forty-five minutes late, she walked in the church doors; merely, ready to receive the word and head back home. For some reason, church service was just a little different on this Sunday. All around, there was singing, crying, dancing, and shouting. She just sat quietly, clapping here, nodding there. Still very composed, she wondered why she had not caught the spirit; like the sweet old lady running down the aisle or the young man crying on the floor. She thought to herself 'am I not as big of a believer as the rest'. Then at that very moment-- tears began to fall from her eyes! With all the motion in the building, it was so hot that people were fanning their sweat; but she didn't have the need to. She had chills running all over her body! She just wanted to stand and do everything necessary to let the Lord know she was there for Him. She was in the building that morning but still so composed. She was thinking get up, shout now, or forever hold your peace!

Unfortunately, she jus sat there crying and rocking from side to side-- clapping to all of the spirit moving things the pastor said. Prayers went up and collection time came around. Indeed she contributed generously. Then came benediction. She got up and hugged everyone she knew. Even shook the hands of a few strangers. All the while thinking 'it is too late now'. Then she got to the door and realized it's never too late. So, she turned around and shouted out as loud as she could THANK YOU JESUS!
