Subject Zones – come and meet our academics Our welcoming Subject Zones give you the opportunity to drop-in, meet some of our academics and find out more about the different subjects we offer. Our academics are on hand from 10am-3pm to talk with you about the subjects they teach, their department and answer any questions you might have about studying at Royal Holloway. What do I ask?

You don’t need to prepare a list of questions. You can simply drop in and ask about the things that you are interested in and find out more about what to expect! Where are they?

Our Arts & Social Sciences Zone is located in the Picture Gallery, and our Sciences, Management, Economics and Law Zone is in the Moore Building. Take a look at your map to find out more.

In these sessions, you will be able to attend practical demonstrations and other activities, together with an opportunity to talk with staff and students.

Join our open house interactive session: watch research demonstrations, view a display covering some of our courses and talk to our staff and researchers.

Emulating the bestselling ‘Humans of New York’ book and photoblog; our current students use video clips and stills to offer their insights into student life at Royal Holloway.

International Opportunities Zone Windsor Building, room 0-04 10am-4pm

Discover the range of international opportunities on offer to our students, including the Study Abroad & Exchange Programmes and Summer Programmes available in 23 countries. You can find out more about our partner universities and gain a better understanding of the financial support on offer when studying abroad. International Opportunities Zone Windsor Building room 0-04 * Media Arts: The presentation is followed by an optional tour and practical session. Total running time 1 hour 30 minutes (including presentation). Modern Languages: drop in and chat to our students in Cafe Jules, 12-3pm. Economics: there will be an interactive lab session in the Economics Undergraduate Hub (Horton Building) directly after the talk. Music: tours of Music facilities will be available immediately after each subject talk, and will last no more than 45 minutes.

New facilities

We’re developing our historic estate to provide a 21st century campus that meets the needs of people studying and working at our university today. The most noticeable project is our new Library and Student Services Centre, opposite our Founder’s Building. The new library will be open 24/7, offering flexible learning and public spaces. The complex will bring together a range of student services, shops and cafes and a dedicated study area for PhD students.

Enabling work started in summer 2015, with building starting in the autumn, ready for completion in 2017.
