Cobra’s mission is to minimise the use of solvents commonly used in oil painting, such as white spirit, as much as possible, since they are harmful to your health and the environment. That is why we have developed several new products, all free of solvents!

• Cobra solvent-free thinner

You can mix Cobra with water, but you can also Cobra solvent-free thinner to make the paint leaner without using solvents and to increase the flow and transparency of your paint.. The thinner gives a more glossy finish compared to mixing with water.

• Medium Mix

If you don’t want to work with solvents anymore, but you still have lots of traditional oils left, you can use Cobra Medium Mix to make your traditional oil paints water mixable! Now you don’t need to use solvents when finishing your traditional oils, and easily make the switch to Cobra.

• Cobra linseed and safflower oil are both water-mixable, they increase the flow and transparency and make the paint fatter. These oils can be used as a binder to make your own paint or medium.

• With the new Cobra solvent-free brush cleaner you can thoroughly clean your brushes and tools without solvents! It also works with traditional oil paints, so no more pouring white spirit down the drain!
