Once the coffee beans have been processed, they are prepared to be roasted. Roasting is a critical step in the coffee making process, as it brings out the flavours and aromas in the beans. The roasting process involves heating the beans at a specified temperature and time, according to the desired roasting level. Roasting coffee beans is both an art and a science.
