MADE AGAIN

Better Together LOOK BOOK // volume 1

ABOUT

LOCAL. SUSTAINABLE. ARTISANS.

Fall // Winter 2014 Made Again is an Atlanta based collective of artists and craftsmen supporting one another as they design and self-produce furniture, home décor, artwork, accessories, paper goods, and bath and body products. Everything within this season’s lookbook has been thoughtfully selected from our community of artisans. We began as an upcycled home décor boutique in West Midtown, Atlanta. As we cultivated relationships with local Atlanta artisans, a community began to form. To support our newfound community, we expanded to become both a business incubator to foster artisans working in varied mediums but sharing an ethos of sustainability, and a marketplace to present their goods to the public. Sincerely, Margeau Bull

LOOK TO THE LEFT TERRARIUMS Seasonal terrariums starting at $29.00 Amanda Willis attended Georgia State University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Sculpture. In the three-dimensional field, she works with materials such as wood, precious and ferrous metals, clay, plaster, and textiles. She has also continued to master her skills in the fields of charcoal, oil paint, film, music production, and graphic design. Continuing her exploration of various media, she found an interest in botanical design. She believes it is important not to neglect the flora and fauna (biota) that surround us everywhere, but to make them visible through aesthetically pleasing perimeters. By obtaining the skills to grow, nurse, and maintain ecosystems on a smaller scale, she hopes that humanity will appreciate the beauty and importance of protecting our ecosystems, and put forth that knowledge on a larger scale.

SOUTH OF URBAN Our process for design and fabrication is based entirely out of Atlanta, GA. We do everything we can to use local resources as well as local business partners to offer sustainable solutions for our building practices. Given that all of our professional experience lies in design and architecture, our credo is modern sustainable furniture built by designers. Our goal is to use as much salvaged / reclaimed / recycled material as possible. We get a healthy supply of these materials from old buildings, downed trees, and scrap. In other instances, we search for materials that are harvested in a responsible way, and that are in close proximity to Atlanta. All of these steps are with the hope of minimizing our carbon footprint, and promoting a responsible consumer transaction.

ROYA ANN MILLER Photographer and Graphic Design Lead Roya Miller is a tireless seeker of knowledge, occasional purveyor of wisdom and also, coincidentally, a multitalented photographer, journalist and graphic designer. Roya received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from California College of the Arts as well as a Bachelors of Art with honors in Journalism and Visual Media from Griffith College Dublin. This dual knowledge in fine art and media has helped her develope strong interdisciplinary skills with both academic training and professional experience. Since becoming a professional grownup, Roya has enjoyed a routine of waking up way too early to jump into a river with her kayak followed by pushing pixels for some of her favorite artists and institutions using Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator; programs she likes a lot. Some of Royas areas of experience include art direction, videography and senior-level design experience in print, digital and brand management. NADIA ANOCHIE Production Developer Nadia is an Atlanta-based graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design in Industrial Design. She has a passion and desire to connect with people through design and product development. Being able to create something out of nothing has always intrigued her because it provides an opportunity for change; change in the world, in how we see things, and experience things. She lives to take part in that opportunity. As a designer her main purpose is to enhance the beauty of life all around her. Specializing in Woodworking, Accessories Design, Soft Goods, CAD and Solidworks. Her designs are directly influenced by the sporadic events that occur within nature, transformed into modern day organic forms. She strives for her work to form connections to everyone engaged with it. Her pieces tell a story, which allows her to reach people on a personal level.
