In the upper floors the initial planning philosophy was re-interpreted to allow for more contiguous working space and larger neighbourhoods. Work styles were reviewed to create solutions specific for project teams and call centre employees. This resulted in a range of spaces, work setting and furniture, unique to these floors which complement the existing menu and increase the diversity of spaces. Construction of the shelter is based on the inherent stability and flexibility of the triangle. The triangles can be folded and joined to create a structure that responds to the situation at hand. Able to be contained within a purpose-built, oversized ‘backpack’ and made from lightweight material, the shelter can be transported easily by an individual based on their needs. It can provide immediate protection from the elements and, when transported to an emergency evacuation centre, can provide privacy and a sense of territory. The shelters can be grouped together with neighbours, family and friends to create a sense of mutual comfort and community.
