PSA EX 5. Graded by PSA EX 5. Gale Sayers strikes a Heisman-inspired pose on the front of his only recognized rookie card. Boasting vivid colors and bright white borders, the card is held back by 60/40 centering and touched corner tips. 9169. Jim Langer Game-Used Miami Dolphins Road Jersey. Jim Langer’s game-used Miami Dolphins road jersey

from the mid-1970s. The front, back, and sleeves feature his number “62” screened-on in aqua with orange borders, and the back has his name, “Langer” in aqua block letters on a white nameplate across the shoulders. The front tail has been trimmed with no manufacturer’s tags remaining, and the jersey shows heavy game-use with five team repairs. In fine condition, with expected signs of wear. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Grey Flannel Auctions, and a color glossy 8 x 10 photo of Langer, signed in blue felt tip, “Jim Langer, HOF 87.”

Revered as one of the greatest centers in NFL history, Langer was a two-time Super Bowl champion as part of the Dolphins dynasty of the 1970s, including their legendary undefeated 1972 season. He was elected to six consecutive Pro Bowls, was a three-time first-team All-Pro, and a three-time second-team All-Pro. Langer was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 1987. Starting Bid $200

Vintage glossy 8 x 10 Chase Studio of Washington portrait of the controversial owner of the Washington Redskins football team, signed in fountain pen, “George Preston Marshall, April 10th / ‘61.” Reverse bears a Chase Ltd. credit stamp. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing, heaviest to the lower right corner area. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder. Marshall is very rare and virtually nonexistent in signed photos, particularly in photos of this size. Starting Bid $200

Letter Signed. American businessman and owner of the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (1896–1969) who founded the team in 1932 as the Boston Braves and was its controlling owner until his death in 1969. A supporter of racial segregation, Marshall was the last NFL owner to integrate African Americans onto a roster. TLS signed “George P. Marshall,” one page, 8.5 x 11, The Redskins of the National Football League letterhead, April 10, 1961. Letter to K. H. Browne, in full: “Under separate cover I am sending you an autographed picture which I hope will console you in Arizona. I think you are in a wonderful country, and I am sure it will be extremely helpful to Mrs. Browne. Some day I may be in the Phoenix area and look you up.” In very good condition, with some creasing, light staining to the left edge, and staple holes and a paperclip impression to the upper left corner. signed “Rock,” two pages, 8.25 x 11, December 26, 1930, The Kahler letterhead. Letter to Joe Williams, the sports editor of the New York Telegram, in part: “I would say the outstanding feature of our team this year was the close knit bond of friendship and respect and inspiration that made it one. Everybody was pulling for the other fellow. However, for real athletes you have to hand it to the old Four Horsemen team. Somehow they seemed to go whenever they felt they had to, and for real poise, mental and physical, they had it. In their senior year I never saw a game that in their minds there was any doubt as to the result.” He goes on to discuss the Carnegie Tech game of 1924. Rockne adds a few handwritten lines to the text. In very good condition, with irregular toning, corner creasing, and a tear to each page, repaired and reinforced by complete silking to the reverse.
