I have over two years of experience working as a landscape designer. During this time I have gained experience working on a variety of projects; commercial, hospitality, public, private, and community crafting. As an experienced landscape designer, I understand the essential skills and process of working at a landscape architecture firm.

As a hardworking and determined individual, I have overcome many obstacles to get to where I am now, and I am ready to face new challenges that come my way. I look forward to putting my skills and knowledge on the table and collaborating with my colleagues.

Outside of my studies and work, I appreciate being surrounded by nature. I enjoy photography, travel, and outdoor areas to allow myself to observe elements and spaces that have become an inspiration in my career.

NARRATIVE

A student housing project located near the University of Southern California (USC). The 8-level building provides many units for students attending the university along with amenity levels to encourage intermingling and social interaction while also providing general outdoor dining and gathering spaces.

MY COLLABORATION

Since joining the team I served in a Job Captain role underneath my project manager and provided support with all tasks of the project. This would involve working on CD drawings, Illustrative drawings, 3D modeling, being involved in meetings, and handling Coordination with the project team. I communicated with other professionals day to day, handling emails, answering RFI’s, and making sure the project would move forward smoothly.

CONCEPTUAL DESIGN - - - VE DESIGN - - - CD DESIGN

As all projects do, this project evolved and changed through the design process. There was a complete redesign as the building had to change due to code reasons. Later as budget came into play, there was some value engineering done and we ended up with what we have currently today.

3D Models and renders were done during our consceptual design process to highlight certain points of our design during our coordination meetings with our design team and client.

NARRATIVE

In the City of Pleasant Hill, this plaza and downtown area is the social focal point for the city. With the current plaza being designed and built in the late 90s, it was time for a renovation. The renovation design we are provides a facelift to the current plaza by replacing all furniture, bringing in new paving for the entire plaza, and offering many elements to the site that are desired by the city and client. These elements include offering some stage space for future downtown events, offering a variety of seating areas, and making the plaza a more family fun area.

MY COLLABORATION

I have been a part of this project from the very beginning planning and entitlement stages. I serve a Job Captain role and have participated in all coordination, design, and city meetings. Working closely with the project team I have l kept all our planning and construction document packages up to date and met all submittals. Some work on the construction documentation would involve, drawing details, setting up irrigation plans, water calculations, and planting layouts.

NARRATIVE

MY COLLABORATION

The City of Loma Linda had many requirements to meet to get our plans approved. I handled all the calculations, did takeoffs, and developed plans to highlight this information. Many meetings were held with our client to coordinate and create a design that would meet both the city’s and its standards.

Our master plan for this parcel was approved by the city and current plans are to begin phasing and moving forward with furthering the commercial design.

NARRATIVE

Connection Park is the first stop for many visitors as they drop off their vehicles and set off on their journey across harbor island. Many options for getting to their destination are offered on-site whether it be through shuttle service, bike rental, or walking. Allowing visitors to get closer to harbor island not just through circulation but by creating spaces where meaningful experiences can happen and providing a clear path to get people where they want to be.

THEME

- Native plants that are planted to bring is origin of ecosystem

- Supporting the need of connectivity among the species of the ecosystem

- Between two sites to experience journey within the landscape

- The Chumash practices, landscape and architectural design

- Existing ecosystem to bring life gift

- Free from variety of changes

NARRATIVE

The approach of the design is to initiate a warm welcome to the Jack Dangermond Preserve and open its doors to the public and additional research. For the public, it will introduce a journey experience along the coast where people can see the landscape form, feel the cool coastal breezes, enjoy biking trails and experience the preserve. To support further research, we introduce scientists to a brand new laboratory site, along with dormitories a short walk away. The impact on the sensitive ecosystems and the preserve itself has been considered throughout the entire site selection and design process. GIS data was reviewed intensively and implemented to our design process.

THEME

To bring people closer to nature in a safe and controlled way.

NARRATIVE

The Transportation Center for Dangermond Preserve is located near Cojo Gate, allowing visitors to park and leave their vehicles here as they set off on their journey towards the Visitor Center or the many biking or hiking trails. The preserve would prefer to keep vehicles on road to a minimum and encourage the use of a shuttle system or biking trails. This will minimize the number of vehicles driving through the sensitive vegetation, thus reducing the risk of damaging the fragile ecosystems. Giving Dangermond Presere control of how people will be able to interact with the preserve is of high importance.

THEME

Supporting the interconnecting moments between place and experience and supporting student achievement.

NARRATIVE

The design of this plaza is built around the concept of putting “ENV on display”. For students and visitors, the plaza aims to display the college’s commitment to the environment, as well as its dedication to students, faculty, and staff. It is designed to be a space that encourages conversation, collaboration, and creativity—a place where the community can come together to explore ideas, share experiences, and celebrate accomplishments.

07 FREELANCE MODELING

GRAPHICS Rhinoceros 3D Enscape Lumion SketchUp NARRATIVE

During times when people kept physical distance amongst themselves. As a team of two, we accepted a job from a real estate company to create a virtual tour of a large building for sale. The job would entail a full-scale building model, 360 panoramic view renders, and an interactive virtual tour website.
