RTW Together is also adding some charitable magic through its festive door bow scheme - we’ll be wrapping the front doors of businesses across the town centre in return for an optional £5 donation. The funds are used to support the Goodwill Ball by Once Upon a Wish, an event offered to poorly and grieving children.

Founder of Once Upon A Wish events, Jess Nelson explains why the contribution to our door bow scheme project means so much.

LUSH “We’re so delighted that after a considerable donation from Royal Tunbridge Wells Together, the Once Upon A Wish Events Goodwill Christmas Ball can go ahead.

Similar to RTWT, our goal was to unite local businesses, and in doing so deliver an extra sprinkle of magic to some rather special children this year.

The inaugural Goodwill Ball will have a session specifically for children with Neuro-Diverse conditions that means they would ordinarily avoid these events and a second session to bring a moment of Christmas Spirit to children living with or affected by a life-limiting illness or significant bereavement.

My most heartfelt thanks goes out to the local businesses and RTWT for their support and I cannot wait to put on a great show and share some seasonal smiles with special children.”
