MOTIVATION LETTER My name is RubĂŠn Velasco RoldĂĄn, from Spain. I am a transportation and industrial designer, I studied in three different countries, Spain, England and Italy. I have an opend mind with an enthusiam to work in an international design team of people, able to give my critic point of view of design and to listening the opinion and criticism of the all team. Since I was a child my passions are cars and drawing, that is why I focus my education on this field, doing and Industrial Design Engineering and the Master in Car and Transportation Design at Domus Academy (Italy, Milan) obtaining a distinction mark. After that, I got an internship at the most international awarded industrial design studio of Spain, Mormedi. As a designer, I like to understand the product to design, abstracting the essence of the product and the values that the customer expect of it. Once, feeling the emotions of the project with a blank paper and a brainstorming of ideas, which determine the strengths, functionalities and style of the product to design. My strenghs are focus on the solutions for the problem settingproblem solving, generting a huge amount of creative solutions. Giving my critical point of view of design with a fresh brain of ideas and catching the new trends of design market, importing them into the design vision of the project.

design

Currently trains with narrow dorrs

PROBLEM SETTING Doors are too narrow and small during the rush hour. The design proposal is about wider doors, that there wont be accesibilitie problems, and more people can get in/out of the train in less time

LED frame for the door’ s visibility

Wider doors = better people uidity to get in/out of the train

Wider doors. Open system

Wheels covered by the body
