WARRANTY Rubi warrants its thermostatic valves against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser will own his faucet upon the following conditions. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) from the original consumer purchaser must be made available to Rubi. This limited warranty is non transferable. It does not apply in the event of product damage due to the use of other than genuine Rubi replacement parts, installation error, relocation, abuse, misuse, or improper care and maintenance. The limited warranty excludes damage due to aggressive air or water conditions, or harsh or abrasive cleaners and/or materials. (Residential use only). Warranty is limited to repair and replacement (product of equal value).

ENTRETIEN Pour nettoyer votre robinet, un nettoyant liquide sans abrasif, de l’eau chaude et un linge doux sufﬁront pour faire disparaître saletés, taches et traces d’accumulation de savon. Rincez après le nettoyage et asséchez avec un linge doux sec pour retrouver le lustre original de votre robinet.

MAINTENANCE Do not use harsh abrasives cleaners to clean your faucet. A mild detergent, warm water and a soft cloth will remove normal dirt and soap accumulations on its surface. Rinse throughly after cleaning and polish with a soft dry cloth to restore original luster of your faucet.

INSTALLATION LINÉAIRE VERTICALE - LINEAR VERTICAL INSTALLATION

Enlevez l'écrou-bouchon de la valve principale conservez-le pour l'installer au montage plus tard. Remove the cap-nut from the main valve and save it for further use.

Assemblez la première valve d'arrêt avec le tuyau de raccord. Un serrage manuel sera suffisant puisque l'étanchéité se fait grâce aux joints toriques des extrémités. Assemble the first stop-valve with the pipe fitting. Manual tightening is sufficient since the seal is made possible through O-rings on the ends.

Répétez l'étape 03 pour les valves d'arrêt suivantes et terminez la série en serrant l'écroubouchon sur la valve d'arrêt supérieure. Repeat step 03 for the following stop-valves and tightly assemble the cap-nut to the last stop-valve.

Assemble RUBI's vertical support to the valves assembly using the hardware supplied with the support.

Prepare your wall wood frame making sure that you leave a distance of 686 mm / 27" between both horizontal wood pieces.

Fixez le support vertical RUBI à l'assemblage de valves en utilisant la quincaillerie fournie avec la plaque.

Préparez la structure du mur en prévoyant une distance de 686 mm / 27" entre les deux supports horizontaux.

Assurez-vous que la surface ﬁnie du mur se situera entre 0 et 20 mm du corps du clapet anti-retour (indication sur le gabarit/protecteur). Make sure the ﬁnshed wall surface stands between 0 and 20 mm from the check valve body (indicated on the protector-template).

Fixez solidement le support de ﬁxation vertical en vissant chaque patte (4) à la structure. Passez à l'étape 13. Securely fasten the assembly by screwing each support tab (4) to the frame. Go to step 13.

Make sure this support's position places the ﬁnshed wall surface between 0 and 20 mm from the check valve body (indicated on the protector-template plastic cover).

Positionnez l'assemblage de valves et ﬁxez chaque valve au support à l'aide de quincaillerie adaptée (non-incluse). Place the valve assembly in position and fasten each one using adapted hardware (not included).

Raccordez les entrées d'eau chaude et d'eau froide à la valve principale en respectant les indications présentes sur celle-ci. Connect the hot water and cold water inputs to the main valve in accordance with the markings on each side of the body.

Effectuez le branchement des différents périphériques aux valves d'arrêt. Connect the different devices to the stop valves.

Tracez et percez la position des ouvertures sur le panneau de gypse et la céramique en suivant les dimensions, en mesurant votre installation (A), en utilisant le gabarit de plastique pour la valve principale. (Gardez un dégagement de 25 mm sous la valve pour permettre le remplacement de la cartouche).

Trace and cut all openings on the gypsum and ceramic using shown dimensions, measuring your assembly (A) and using the valve's plastic cover. (Leave a 25 mm clearance under the valve to allow cartridge replacement.)

Replacez les protecteurs de plastique sur les valves et faites la ﬁnition du mur. Make sure all plastic protector are back on the valves and complete the wall.

Remove the plastic protector from the main valve and the stop valves.

Remove the control part from the valve using a screwdriver.

Retirez le protecteur de plastique de la valve principale et des valves d'arrêt.

Démontez la pièce de contrôle à l'aide d'un tournevis.

Appliquez un cordon de silicone au dos de la plaque de ﬁnition de la valve en laissant une ouverture au bas et insérez-la sur le corps principal en appuyant bien sur le mur. Apply a silicon cord on the ﬁnishing trim back side leaving an opening in the bottom and carefully place it onto the valve body pushing toward the wall.

Assemble the control part back in place.

Repeat step 19 for handles trims intallation.

Replacez la pièce de contrôle et vissez-la en place.

Répétez l'étape 19 pour l'installation des plaques de ﬁnition des poignées.

Procédez à l'installation des manchons et poignées selon les guides correspondants à l'ensemble de garniture choisi. Proceed with the sleeves and handles installation according to the corresponding guides for all trim set selected.

CHANGEMENT DE LA CARTOUCHE / CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT

Démontez les pièces délicatement et déserrez la vis de réglage dans le corps de la valve permettant l'alignement de la cartouche. Il peut être nécessaire d'enlever la plaque de ﬁnition.

ATTENTION

Carefully remove all parts and loosen the set screw in the main valve body allowing the cartridge alignment. Trim removal migth be necessary.

The plastic part should be assembled aligning the half-ring end at 5˚. Push-button on top.

La pièce de plastique doit être replacée en alignant le bout de l'arc à environ 5˚. Le boutonpression doit être au haut de la poignée.

ATTENTION

Si vous n'utilisez pas le support d'installation "T" RUBI (XSU25X5) passez à l'étape 12. If you do not use RUBI's "T" installation support (XSU25X5), go to step 12.

Fixez le support vertical RUBI à l'assemblage de valves en utilisant la quincaillerie fournie avec la plaque. Assemble RUBI's vertical support to the valves assembly using the hardware supplied with the support.

Préparez la structure du mur en prévoyant une distance de 280 mm entre les supports horizontaux et 658 mm entre les supports verticaux. Prepare your wall wood frame making sure that you leave a distance of 280 mm between both horizontal wood pieces and 480 mm between the vertical wood pieces.

Replacez les protecteurs de plastique sur les valves et faites la finition du mur. Make sure all plastic protectors are back on the valves and complete the wall.

Retirez le protecteur de plastique de la valve principale et des valves d'arrêt. Remove the plastic protector from the main valve and the stop valves.

Remove the control part from the valve using a screwdriver, unscrew the cartridge sleeve and pull the temperature control lock out.

Replace the temperature lock aligning the halfring end at 5˚ and assemble back the cartridge sleeve.

Démontez la pièce de contrôle à l'aide d'un tournevis, dévissez le manchon de cartouche et retirer la barrure de température.

Replacez la barrure de température en alignant le bout de l'arc à environ 5˚ de la verticale et revissez le manchon de cartouche.

Appliquez un cordon de silicone au dos de la plaque de finition de la valve en laissant une ouverture au bas et insérez-la sur le corps principal en appuyant bien sur le mur. Apply a silicon cord on the finishing trim back side leaving an opening in the bottom and carefully place it onto the valve body pushing toward the wall.

Replacez la pièce de contrôle en plaçant le bouton-pression dans l'axe vertical et vissez-la en place. Assemble the control part back in place pushbutton on top.

Vissez les manchons des valves d'arrêt.

Screw the sleeves onto the stop-valve.

INSTALLATION "T" horizontale - "T" Horizontal installation

Enlevez l'écrou-bouchon de la valve principale et conservez-le pour l'installer au montage plus tard. Assemblez le raccord en "T" sur la valve principale en serrant bien l'écrou. Remove the cap-nut from the main valve and save it for further use. Assemble the "T" coupling to the main valve and firmly tighten the nut. 10

Assemblez la première valve d'arrêt d'un côté du raccord en "T". La sortie d'eau peut être en haut ou en bas, selon les branchements que vous souhaitez effectuer plus tard. Assemble the first stop-valve on one side of the coupling. The water outlet can be up or down, suiting your further connection needs.

Ajoutez un raccord linéaire de l'autre côté de la valve d'arrêt. Add a straight coupling to the assembly beside the stop-valve.

Securely fasten the assembly by screwing each support tab (5) to the frame. Go to step 15.

Replace the temperature lock aligning the halfring end at 5˚ and assemble back the cartridge sleeve.
