I am Rubianca. I help mothers get back in the picture. I do this by documenting the quiet power of your family life – because even the smallest daily routines make your life and that of your children unique. With my gift for observation and respectful, gentle nature, I document those seemingly everyday moments, capturing connections and emotions that make your family exceptional, with authentic story-telling photography.

WHY? Family Documentary Photo Sessions Our lives are busy. Working, cooking, planning, rushing, driving, meeting, multitasking, shopping, waiting, caring, tidying, reading, worrying, educating… the list goes on.
Live is a collection of moments that make up our days. Every day. And appreciating what we add to them. Honor these moments unique to your family by capturing them in images – telling your story to take with you and to the all the generations to come.
We often try to be the best at everything and wind up feeling like we are failing at something. But who said we had to be perfect at everything? And who said we aren’t perfect the way we are?

WHEN? Family Documentary Photo Sessions If you're looking for the perfect moment to book a photo shoot I am going to burst your bubble right here, because there's no such thing as THE perfect moment. Life cannot be planned, there will always be something - the missing tooth, waiting for the golden tan, the haircut that have been postponed for months... Time flies too fast and before you know it your children are out of the house. Ideally you should book photo sessions every year and keep your family story alive. Don't wait and start it now.

WHERE? Family Documentary Photo Sessions Basically I work everywhere you want me to be. I love to shoot in your own home. It is where you most feel comfortable and where you can be yourself. It is a part of you and I can include your environment in your story. But maybe you have a meaningful place or want to show your favorite season. That is of course possible as well. Remember, it is not the location but it is YOU who write your unique story.

WHAT TO EXPECT? Family Documentary Photo Sessions 1. BOOKING YOUR SESSION After or during our "Get to know" call we will find a suitable date for the shoot. The sitting fee is due before the agreed date to reserve your session. Postponing the session due to bad weather (for outdoor shoots) or illness is possible.
2. PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION If you’re stressed don’t be. The documentary sessions are very organic that’s why we can’t prepare or expect anything. What happens happens. However, sometimes it is a good idea to have some activities in mind that could trigger the connection between family members (see next "Ideas for Activities").
Don’t worry about how your house looks. It’s all about capturing your feelings at their most natural.

As for clothes, what matters most is that you feel comfortable. You probably have a favorite in your closet, so don’t go out and buy something new especially for the shoot.
I need you to feel I am part of the whole, and to allow me into your routines, but I won’t be intrusive.
3. DURING YOUR SESSION I will meet you at your home or your location of choice. We will chat a bit first to warm up. Specially kids need these few minutes to trust unfamiliar faces.
4. AFTER YOUR SESSION Expect to get your online secured gallery within 3 weeks after the session.
5. Print License and copyright
I will ask you to choose your favourite photos which you will get in web quality and as mini prints. And you will able to install them on your mobile device as well. Most of my pictures are in

All edited photos you will see in the gallery are the final images. No changes will be done after that. You will have the option to order albums and prints on top of your collection (see products section).
I encourage you to share it with friends and family.
Although the focus of the session is to go with the flow, I will take 15 minutes normally in the beginning of the documentary to take the more “formal” portraits of you.

Digital images are provided with a Creative Commons License which allows you to print and share the images. However, copyright stays with me. I most probably will use some of the photos for publicity purposes unless otherwise agreed.
