ASHFORD ENG 328 ENG/328 ENG328 WEEK 5 FINAL RESEARCH PAPER  D O W N LOA D H E R E Focus of the Final Research Paper The purpose of the Final Research Paper is to provide an opportunity to integrate your understanding of how to use technical writing skills to develop a proposal. The paper should demonstrate the applications of real-life experience or a future scenario by first choosing a topic to develop a technical writing proposal. Please choose one of the following topics for your Final Research Paper:  Environmental Cleanup Proposal  New Energy Resource Proposal  Senior Healthcare Facility Proposal  Telecommuting Proposal  School Cafeteria Menu Proposal  Business Market Proposal  Educational Grant Proposal You will need instructor approval if you choose to use a different topic. Please submit these requests by the end of Week Four. Research the topic you choose and develop a proposal for your Final Research Paper. The proposal should clearly state the target audience and objective of the proposal in an introductory paragraph and be well designed. It should use effective headings and lists (if applicable). Incorporate the planning, design, and writing processes learned in this course. The Final Research Paper should include:  A Table of Contents  An Executive Summary  An Introduction (Problem, Solution, Background, Data Sources, Scope and Limitation)  Effective, useful graphic aids (minimum of three)  Discussion  Conclusion  Glossary Writing the Final Research Paper


The Final Research Paper: 1. Must be eight to ten double-spaced pages in length, and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center. 2. Must include a title page with the following: a. Title of paper b. Student’s name c. Course name and number d. Instructor’s name e. Date submitted 3. Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement. 4. Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought. 5. Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis. 6. Must use at least five scholarly resources, including a minimum of two from the Ashford Online Library. 7. Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center. 8. Must include a separate reference page, formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
