Radisson Blu Hotel - Uluwatu, Bali, Indonesia Program - Hotel Phase - Architecture and Interior Design Stage - Completed Area - 11000 sqm
Inspired by the Balinese craftmanship, the hotel concept is driven by the idea of using few materials but having multiple uses for each other. The rough exterior batu kali (local stone) becomes the elegant lontar (dried palm leaf used as writing paper) wall inside the accommodation room.

04 - Vanke Showroom - Shanghai
Vanke Showroom - Shanghai Program - SALES CENTRE Phase - Architecture and Interior Design Stage - Completed Area - 900 sqm
Vanke is one of the leading real estate Chinese group. Today, Vanke is making the transition process from building residential projects to creating and developing commercial project adapted to cities and its inhabitants needs. Located in Vanke’s headquarters from Shanghai the main purpose of this showroom is to promote the new generation of shopping mall totally dedicated to the customer. People first build up their houses, and then the market appears to gradually form the concept of the “village”. And then appears the “city”.
1
The design concept of the showroom came up from the inspiration and from the transition process from “village” to “city”. The interiors created and integrated in this showroom are based on the 5 major elements of the “City” consisting of “Protection Wall”, “House”, “Market”, “Landscape” and “Culture”.
2
The showroom is divided in accordance with the 5 elements of the “city”. Surrounding by the peripheral “Landscape”, stepping onto the slope inspired by the concept of “protection wall”, entering the box-structured “house”, you will directly reach the core value of the showroom, discovering Vanke “Culture” and exploring the “Market”, the Group’s commercial projects.

Private office - Shanghai Program - Office Phase - Interior Design Stage - Completed Area - 120 sqm
Being a very private office, the space has been designed around the idea of enlarging and enclosing the space. The art deco patterned sliding panels are the main element of the office. They are delimitating the private office, open space office and the meeting room. The meeting room is an integrated part of the main office and it can be used both as a part of the main office or as a shared space. The door patterns are also important because they are giving a “sense of place“. They are originally entrance doors and gate patterns found in the Former French Concession.

Grandma’s smell – The journey of smell What is home? A place? A certain comfort? A time of your life? Or do we all agree that home is people that make you feel like you are in the right place at the right time like you belong there no matter what? Is that why we keep photographs, handwritten letters and bunch of little reminders of what it was to feel that way? We want those emotions and feelings last for as long as we are, regardless where we are. However, we believe visual triggers have their limit and fail to work where sense of smell does not . Therefore, we decided to create scent-capturing and scent-replicating device that you can program for scent sequences of your choice to create your unique very personal home fragrance. Will it be freshly baked cookies, a cherry blossom garden near your summer house, an afternoon breeze by the ocean, or maybe fried stinky tofu along with all the street food smell pallet that you used to have just around the corner? Or will it be our beloved one's scent? Parents? Brother or sister? Husband? Wife? Children? Best friend? -Grandma's hands scent! This is a home fragrance that makes you feel comfortable when you are sick, bringing emotions and triggering emotions. “I’m barely human. I’m more like a creature; to me, everything gives off a scent! Thoughts, moments, feelings, movements, words left unsaid, words barely spoken; they all have a distinct sense, distinct fragrances! Both a smell and a touch! To inhale is to capture, to experience! I can perceive and I can “touch” in so many odd ways! And so I am made up of all these scents, all these feelings! An illumination of nerve endings!” ― C. JoyBell C.

Jinjiang Apartment - Shanghai, China Program - Residential Phase - Interior Design Stage - Completed Area - 205 sqm
The apartment is located in one of the most famous Art Deco buildings of the city, Grosvenor Building. The design of the interior is simple and elegant, trying to keep many existing elements. The wooden floor and the ceilings are being keps. The color scheme of the indoor is a translation of the outdoor facade. Brown bricks and white painting on the outside, light oak and dark walls on the inside.

BeerGRDN - Shanghai Program - F&B Restaurant Phase - Interior Design Stage - Completed Area - 500 sqm BeerGRDN stands for a fusion between a “garden picnic” and a beer place. Following client’s advice - “if a place is feminine enough so the girls can come, the men will follow”. The place is a mix between pin-ups and pop culture. Reinterpretated pin-ups included in the branding, arcade games as tables, neon lights.

08 - Urban Thai Restaurant - Shanghai
Urban Thai Restaurant - Shanghai Program - F&B Restaurant Phase - Interior Design Stage - Completed Area - 170 sqm
The design of the Urban Thai Restaurant on Dagu Road, comes with strong color accents making the link between the Thai culture and the urban Shanghainese life. From the exterior, the facade is gracefully aligned with the street and the restaurants around. The facade is divided in two parts. The upper part is painted in white off color, making a strong contrast with the lower part that is made in dark wood. There are two levels of perception about the restaurant from the street. The first level of perception is made by the upper part, the logo of the restaurant can easily be seen from the other part of the road without disturbing people walking. The second level of perception is happening when crossing by, because the lower part is made in wood that is giving you a warm feeling and also it takes care about the human scale.
main space
The interior uses strong colors and dimmer lighting making the atmosphere warm and cosy. Because the entire concept of the restaurant is about creating a familial atmosphere with home-made food, no matter the scale of the place, people should feel like home. I used strong colors like red and blue to clearly separate the spaces. The entrance has a red area, the same as the bar, and in between the main space is painted with blue acrylic painting having some small red accents coming from the red pendant lights on the right side.
street entrance
Upstairs where the vip area is, the atmosphere becomes more intimate and sober. Also because it should answer to the idea of an “urban restaurant all the strong decorations from Thai culture have been softened. I kept the main one, the wood carved-fish in the main area.

Waste-Less challenge Shanghai - June 2017
How much can you swallow? We are producing so much waste that we don’t know what to do with it. We are feeding a large part of it to the waters (rivers, seas, oceans) without noticing that this destruction is coming back to US! The ocean is storing most of the world carbon dioxide and replacing it with life-giving oxygen. So how long til you start wasting using your consciousness? How long till actually stand up and take action? We must keep closer the CAUSE-EFFECT.

Eccentricity is what describes the best this project. Unlimited budget with a taste for color made it a designer’s playground. This project is a modern fantasy. The apartment was my first interior project.
