Day 3- Carnival Kick Off
Jan. 6 is a big day in New Orleans. It marks three things: Twelfth Night, The Epiphany, and the beginning of the Carnival season... which also means the first day of King Cake & The Jon D' Arc Parade!

We'll start the day taking the trolley over to the scenic Garden District & shopping on Magazine street, with lunch at the famous Commander's Palace with 25 cent martini's, stroll the shops, get a drink all with a final quest in search of the king cake!
And then we will take part in kicking off Carnival season at the Joan De Arc Parade! Mostly a 'local's" parade, this medievalthemed walking parade with jugglers and knights and saints on horseback is done as a tribute to Saint Joan of Arc’s birthday, known as the patron saint of France and the unofficial patron saint of New Orleans. Even the slightest costume gets great parade swag handed to them!
End Of Night
I HIGHLY recommend dancing in the streets with the neighbors down at Vaughn's (everyone will be in a costume here and it's a hoot!)
Day 4 - Relax (or not!)
We'll start off with an easy morning in the courtyard with coffee & hot tub time to rejuvinate from the previous night's jubilations!
Maybe go find brunch at Who Dat Cafe (2 blocks away)
Spend the day exploring on your own, maybe:
LAST EVEVNING:
We will spend the evening Uptown District.
Early Dinner at the fab Coté Sud; quaint french/pizza/wine bar (cash only)
OR at Cure with craft cocktails & small plates in an old fire house. Then we are perfectly positioned to visit iconic late nite music boozers - Snake & Jake's Christmas Club OR Tipitina's! (ubers/cabs this night)
