Bluefield (4-0, 0-0 MSC) vs. No. 6 Georgetown (2-0, 0-0 MSC) Thursday, November 15, 2012 | 6 p.m. EST Dome Gymnasium (800) | Bluefield, Va. STORY LINES

After being selected to finish last in the 11 team Mid-South Conference after finishing a program best 22-12 and a sixth place finish in the NCCAA National Tournament a year ago the Rams (4-0, 0-0 MSC) have stormed out of the gates in 2012 winning their first four contests over Virginia Intermont (82-59), Allen (S.C.) (84-48), Bluefield State (72-63), and Mount Vernon Nazarene (69-43), scoring an average of 76.75 points per game and winning by an average margin of 23.5 points. The perfect 4-0 start is two games better than the 2011-12 squad and matches the 2009-10 start for the Rams who finished 20-11. The Rams are led by last years AllAmerican Honorable Mention Tequila McNeal (17.33), and newcomer Ashley White (13.0) but the Rams have received substantial support from Alexis Allen and Sharonda Tate each scored a season high with 13 and 12 points respectively against Bluefield State, Tempestt Lewis who is shooting a team best .500 from behind the 3-point line and scored a season high 11 points against Allen while fellow freshman Monique Robson added 10 points against AU. In reverse fashion Georgetown (2-0, 0-0 MSC) entered the season as the No. 6 ranked team in NAIA Preseason Coaches Poll following an NAIA Fab Four apperance last season with a 24-10 overall record while finishing third in the MSC with a 12-4 mark. The Tigers ended the 2011-12 regular season as the No. 11 team in the NAIA Coaches Poll but defeated Vanguard (Calif.), 70-68, Avila (Mo.), 80-71, and Rogers State (Okla.), 70-63, to earn a spot against Union (Tenn.) in the Fab Four a game they lost, 62-50. This season Georgetown has defeated both of its opponents, Mid-Continent (Ky.), 97-45, and Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.), 83-73, are led by a trio of double digit scorers, junior forward Lizza Jonas ranks in the top-15 in field goal percentage (.696) and points per game (21.5) while Devon Golden (16.0) and Devanny King (15.5) round out the double digit averages, Tyra Kourtney (9.5), Haley Armstrong (9.0), and Lindsay Fultz (8.5) can score in double digits.
