2012 BLUEFIELD COLLEGE WOMEN’S SOCCER NOTES TODAY’S MATCH PREVIEW– Bluefield vs. Brevard– 7pm EST The women’s soccer team hosts NCAA-Div II program, Brevard College, to the East River SoccerComplex for a Saturday night under the lights matchup. The two teams have previously played in 2011 as Brevard sneaked away at home with a 4-0 victory over the Lady Rams with three first half goals to lead the way. Brevard is entering the match 1-3-1 record overall and have dropped three straight matches. Their only win has come against Virginia Intermont in a 7-0 win in early September. The Tornadoes are led in scoring by Clair Deese and Taylor Hembree (each with 2). The Lady Rams are entering the contest with a 3-3 overall record and currently undefeated at home at a perfect 2-0 to start the season. They are led in scoring by Pip Pattison (7g) and assists by Callan Camin with four.

IN THE PREVIOUS MATCH Bluefield enters tonight’s game on a 1-gamewinning streak as they opened up Mid-South Conference play with a dominating performance by beating Univ of the Cumberlands 8-1 on Wednesday. It is the first time in three seasons that BC has picked up a conference win, and it sets a record for total goals in the modern season era. The win also exceeded two new records from a season ago with total wins and total goals for– only through six games from all of last season. Pattison led the way with her 2nd hat trick of the season, as Jahlisa Harvey chipped in with two goals in the match.
