Room for the River Lek Flood plain excavation Bossenwaard, Pontwaard and Heerenwaard
Current situation Bossenwaard flood plain
Channels are being created in the flood plains of the river Lek at IJsselstein, Nieuwegein, Vianen and Houten. The access dam at Hagestein and the summer quays are being lowered as well. These interventions will increase the water safety along the Lek at high water. N W
