Dyke relocation at Lent (Room for the River Waal Nijmegen)
Current situation
New situation dyke featuring homes and vegetation
The existing dyke at Nijmegen/Lent is to be relocated inland and will also create a channel. This intervention will widen the narrow section of the bend in the river Waal between Nijmegen and Lent, allowing the river to discharge more water during times of high water levels.
