Adapt and Act is a creative magazine exploring issues that are important to young studio members at Rumpus Room. This issue was created through a series of workshops called ‘Becoming a Food Citizen’ hosted in Autumn 2020 with Rumpus Room young activists, Camilla Crosta (previously at Küche) and Jess Routley (daikon*). In this issue we explore the politics of food and begin to re-imagine the food systems we live within, asking ourselves ‘what alternative food systems can we imagine together that are based on equality, fairness and justice?’
This issue includes contributions from Beth Cloughton, Ellie Begley, Thalia Groucott, Asta Marie Tutavae Iversen, Eleanor Moselle and Parul Nayar from the group alongside contributions from 3 artists & designers working in food and environmental practices that inspire us; Annika Hasteen-Izora, Joss Allen and Sean Roy Parker.
Becoming a Food Citizen was a Food For Life Get-Togethers project supported by The Soil Association and The National Lottery.
