NAT X. MARSHALL
CORPORATE EEO & COMMUNITY RELATIONS MANAGER
BWX TECHNOLOGIES, INC. | JUNE 1984 – PRESENT
Nathaniel (Nat) X. Marshall has called Central Virginia home his entire life. He was born and raised in Bedford County, graduating from Jefferson Forest High School right after the Ice Age; he polished off his education with degrees in Business Administration & English from the University of Lynchburg (formerly Lynchburg College); he found an Amherst County native, married her, and convinced her to cross the river; he has worked for BWXT, the largest employer in Campbell County, for nearly 38 years; he currently lives in the mid-town section of the city of Lynchburg with his wife and two daughters.
Nat has served on a number of boards and committees including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Salvation Army, Red Cross, United Way, the University of Lynchburg, the State and Regional Workforce Boards, the State Board for Community Colleges, Central Virginia Community College Local Board, Johnson Health Center, Va. Center for Inclusive Communities, and Lynchburg Partners in Education, to name a few. He is particularly proud of his recent involvement with a new initiative called the Lynchburg Area Youth Sports Initiative or LAYSi. It has brought together many of his favorite organizations in a collaborative effort to benefit the youth in his community. He hopes to remain engaged in these and a number of other organizations, including his Church, with the simple purpose of making a small difference in this world
