Let customers know they have a choice wherever and whenever they make a payment: • At the register • Over the phone • Online • Mailing an invoice If it’s not clearly displayed that we accept credit cards, order free signs and products at americanexpress.com/signage. It’s important they know they can pay their preferred way, because keeping customers happy is the key to keeping customers.

Are you register-ready? Here are some reminders when dealing with three common topics. CREDIT CARDS: Make sure customers know we take all major credit cards, including American Express. CASH: If you’re handling lots of new bills, crinkling them slightly can help you avoid accidentally overpaying a customer. CUSTOMERS: Dealing with an unhappy customer?
