The Omberg Ecopark celebrates its 20th anniversary - a mythical place that attracts and fascinates visitors with its dramatic natural beauty. The steep slopes down to Lake Vättern lead to one of Sweden’s most diverse forest landscapes with beautiful beech forests, oak hills with grazing and colourful meadows.
The Omberg Ecopark was inaugurated by Sveaskog in 2003. Since then, the number of ecoparks has grown to 37. Spread across the country, the ecoparks showcase an impressive range of habitats, offering southern beech forests, beautiful archipelago environments, fire-prone pine forests, vast bog landscapes and natural spruce forests full of beard lichen.
