A Night to Shine FEBRUARY 7 THIBODAUX FAMILY CHURCH A Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. This year, A Night to Shine celebrates its sixth anniversary! On this one night, over 655 churches from around the world, including Thibodaux Family Church, will come together to host A Night to Shine for approximately 100,000 honored guests through the support of 200,000 volunteers! A Night to Shine is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.

Rotary Club of Houma Cast Iron Cookoff FEBRUARY 8, 11 A.M.- 3 P.M. DOWNTOWN HOUMA More than 40 cooking teams will prepare and serve their best dishes out of their cast iron cookware. Pass a good time by eating, enjoying live music and outdoor yard games. General admission is $5 which allows you to taste all dishes and vote for your favorite. Drinks and beer will available for purchase. Proceeds benefit service projects of Houma Rotary.

“Race for Their Future” 5K Race Fest MARCH 14, 8 A.M. PELTIER PARK, THIBODAUX The MAX Charter School will host a 1 Mile Fun Run and 5K Run/Walk to will benefit their students. The MAX Charter School is committed to meeting the unique educational needs of children with dyslexia and other language-related differences throughout the Bayou Region. Proceeds will be used to purchase supplies, services, and technology for the students as well as to hire much-needed paraprofessionals who will assist in the education of our students. The annual event will include food, drinks, games, bounce houses, live music, a silent auction, a Cajun cook-off, and lots more. Registration is $20 before February 14 (t-shirt included), then $30 until race day (no t-shirt). •
