DESIGNING OF PAVILION WITH INTERACTIVE FUNCTIONS FOR SXSW FECTIVAL,AUSTIN,USA Study project

PHONOSCOPE

Team: Karaduman O., Buiksandari M., Antonenko R. Responsibilities: sections, plans, design concept. The design agenda was [USER EXPERIENCE]. SOFTWARE: Cinema4d+ Corona, Rhino, Adobe Suite, Processing, Unity. TO CREATE a structure that unifies a performance with audience by analyzing what is happening inside the pavilion, as well as the subsequent change in the appearance of the pavilion depends on an event. The day program of the pavilion is controlled by an algorithm that rotates louvres, which create different light conditions for holding lectures or exhibitions. Part of pavilion louvers

The evening program of the pavilion is controlled by another algorithm that uses the human palms and rhythms of music as a trigger for the louver rotation and light elimination. The form of the pavilion is based on the analysis of acoustic properties of musical instruments.

SKYSCRAPER CONCEPT,eVOLO,2016 LA 2050 Contest project

Form analysis. Create a form that would collect water. Inspired with Bio forms (Leaves)

The project was carried out individually. The design agenda was [IMPROVING ENVIRONMENT, ADVANCING HUMANITY]. SOFTWARE: Cinema4d+Xparticales, Rhino, Photoshop, Flow Design. TO CREATE a skyscraper that not only could be a solution for current and future environmental, social, and urban problems, but also be an inspiration in Los Angeles. LA tower 2050 would be a community that concerns about environmental issues such as drought. The project develops a way to obtain water by collecting condensate from air during nights on skyscraper shell. Los Angeles county has reached its natural borders, which constrict the growth of the county. The only way to continue the growth is to increase rise of the city. As Los Angeles mostly consists of low rise with small discernible centers of the numerous cities in the county, the project might be a solution to those issues. For this reason, skyscrapers will solve shortage of living accommodations in the near future. The analysis of the town-planning situation and water and electricity consumption data obtained from the research group of Tom Mayne’s studio, 2016.

Urban analysis. Create a public space as an extension to LACMA.

ECO PROJECT OF OFFICE BUILDING, ECOTECTONICS,RUSSIA

NONLINEAR SURFACES Contest project

The project was done individually for a arch. competition, Russia. The design agenda was [SUSTAINABILITY]. SOFTWARE: 3dmax+Corona, Rhino, Photoshop. TO CREATE a comfortable environment for office employees, by introducing a sustainable envelope (a glass volume) as a solution to environmental problems in modern cities. The glass envelope should work as a green house with enough plants to produce clean and fresh air for the buildling. The project is planned as a place where people can work with a high level of comfort. This is achieved by: # 1 creating at different levels of gardens, working as natural air filters and as comfortable recreations for informal meetings. # 2 common spaces with different functions. Such as: mini cafeterias at different levels with views to a city, places with table tennis, a gym on the underground level. # 3 location of a cafeteria in direct connection with one of gardens in the building. As I did a research on a plants influence on humans, I realized that presence of gardens throughout the building will create a free stress environment and increase productivity. Item C1.L Safe and healthy working conditions (BREEAM). # 2 Availability of different types of plants in the building permit: a. create visual comfort b. improve air quality Item C1.H Biodiversity The project got a second degree nomination.

OFFICE BUILDING, ALMATY, KAZAKHSTAN CUBE Work project

Team: T.Yelubayev, R. Antonenko. In collaboration with BI GROUP, Astana, Kazakhstan. Responsibilities: Revit drafting, taking a minor part in the office designing. The design agenda was [ADAPTIVITY]. SOFTWARE: Revit, Photoshop. TO CREATE a space to be flexible and capable of accommodating different offices, functions or even inhabitants throughout time by using open layout with transformable walls. We also indroduced a public space [a restaurant] on the 9th floor for employee needs as well as for a local community. Additionally, we worked on the interior design that will be creative having mini rest areas on each floor to help switch activities and space conditions. Those areas might be used for informal meetings as well. We made a case study about stress at work, a job fatigue that could lead to a drop in productivity. For this, we introduced more plans, and create alternative layout for the building. Breeam Standards are also used for better sustainability. The top roof faces the south for better insolation and for a nice view from the roof over mountains.

COFFEE HOUSE, KALININGRAD, RUSSIA THE MUG Work project

North elevation

Team: E. Adamova (leader), R. Antonenko (junior architect). Responsibility on the project: concept idea for the project, draft of facades and plans. The design agenda was [IMPROVING COMMUNITY SPACE]. SOFTWARE: Autocad, Photoshop, 3dsmax.

South elevation

TO CREATE a place for a local community where people may enjoy coffee while watching their kids playing on a play ground nearby or to get one on a way to work. We used wide windows to connect interior with exterior, erasing obstacles. The second level has a direct visual connection with the children’s playgrounds of the complex. Another challenge was to link the project with the existing entrance to an underground parking of the residential development.

RESIDENTIAL PROJECT, ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN GREEN CITY

Work project

Team: T.Yelubayev, Antonenko R. Responsibilities: Revit drafting of sections, plans and design concept. The design agenda was [ADVANSING LIVING CONDITIONS]. SOFTWARE: Revit. TO CREATE a residential project that has an open space layout, but the building footprint would be tight for the urban situation. We tried to change perception of the typical residential layout for Kazakhstan, where strong soviet architectural doctrine is hold. Additionally, we used a low rise approach for the residential complex as its convenience to human scale. The urban idea was about mixing the residential project with green space, so residents would have more park space around the living area. Masterplan A103 1
