Frances Murray is a partner in the financial crime team.
Frances was called to the bar in 2008 and subsequently cross qualified as a solicitor in 2011 after spending the entirety of her career at a white collar boutique firm in the City. She was the head of the firm’s London offices and practised predominantly in the areas of financial crime and serious crime.
Frances co-founded the Financial Crime department for an international City firm in September 2019. She represents individuals, sole traders, limited companies and PLCs from the investigatory stage to Crown Court proceedings. This includes high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, chief executive officers of multi-million pound, multi-national City-based companies, and professionals in law, medicine, journalism and accountancy.
Frances has defended investigations / prosecutions brought by the Serious Fraud Office, Financial Conduct Authority, HM Revenue and Customs, National Crime Agency, Architects Registration Board and the Crown Prosecution Service, as well as those prosecutions brought privately.

Emily Russell is an associate in the financial crime team.
Emily has a varied case load specialising in financial crime on multi-jurisdictional matters with her clients involving high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals as well as large corporate organisations.
In addition to account freezing orders, investigations and fraud, she also works on cases involving crypto assets.
Emily has defended investigations and prosecutions brought by the Financial Conduct Authority, HM Revenue and Customs, Crown Prosecution Service and the National Crime Agency. Emily also specialises in prosecuting individuals/corporations through private prosecutions.
Emily joined Russell-Cooke in July 2022 after qualifying as a solicitor at her previous firm in 2021.

Mark is a partner in the commercial litigation team.

Mark is recognised for his technical expertise and proactive and detailed approach to managing and resolving disputes.
Mark joined Russell-Cooke as a trainee in 2009 and qualified as a solicitor in 2011. He was made partner in 2020.

David Webster is a partner in the corporate and commercial team and advises clients across a range of sectors, including real estate, financial services, professional services and family businesses.
David advises on a variety of corporate and commercial legal matters, with a particular focus on the sale and purchase of companies and businesses, company law and governance issues, and lending and security.
Clients value David’s ability to marry a flexible and commercial approach with genuine technical expertise. He often comments in the legal and general press on business issues and has also acted as an expert witness on partnership law at a Crown Court trial.
