Our Principal Contractor Role

Russell Cawberry is an experienced Principal Contractor, with certified documented systems, processes and procedures reflecting both the legal requirements of the CDM 2015 Regulations and best working practice. These systems have been developed to enable the operations of both subcontractors and other contractors working within our area of responsibility to be encapsulated and managed promoting the inclusion of smaller businesses and one-man bands, to work with or alongside us on site.

Through experience, monitoring and review we identify and implement measures allowing continual improvement. Client specific requirements are documented and incorporated, with performance measured against the annual Key Performance Indicators for quality, health, safety, environmental and corporate responsibility performance.

Our highly trained and qualified employees carry out the preparation, management and implementation of safe systems of work designed to suit site or project requirements. Our behavioural safety training programme empowers all staff and subcontractors they manage to take an active role in keeping our sites safe.

Hands-on senior management oversee the day to day running of all contracts, with technical excellence and contract specific knowledge from the technical reviewing of each contract from tender stage through to final deliverables. Our non-confrontational approach enables us to maintain good relations with Client Representatives and other stakeholders, and assists in the effective delivery of our works.
