Mistake
publisher’s note Back in the days, in the moments of youthful indiscretion, I made a mistake; I went to a university and graduated with an engineering degree. A few years later, I made another mistake; I got my second degree in computer science from a college in the U.S. Why do I think those were mistakes? Because I didn’t go to school to learn to do something that I loved, but rather to get away from my biggest fear: having to deal with people. When I was a child, I watched my grandfather manage one of the largest, state transportation departments in the former USSR. He had hundreds of employees across different departments, cities and time zones. I remember him taking off in the middle of the night when there was an emergency or accident. Almost every evening around the dinner table, my grandfather would share stories about the problems he had at work dealing with people. I was still young but I realized that dealing with people is a huge responsibility which I would try to avoid when I grew up. I chose two career paths that, in my mind, would safeguard
me from such trouble. The joke was on me. I soon realized that no matter which career path you choose, you still have to work with others. One thing led to another and I found myself opening a small publishing house in California. Now, 20 years later, I head one of the largest media agencies in the US. But my biggest pride is not the award winning publications that we produce, not the statewide events that we put together, not our new headquarters located in the heart of California’s Capital Region. My biggest joy is the people I get to work with every day: my fired-up employees, my generous volunteers, my community partners and our
loyal clients. You see, when I looked at my grandpa when I was a child, I saw the people problems that he dealt with. I didn’t pay attention to the tons of greeting cards he’d receive on his birthday or the hundreds of friends who’d look to him for advice. I didn’t think that there would be over three thousand people at his memorial service. It took me two degrees and many years to learn a simple thing; it’s not about your major in college or your career choice. It’s not about the problems you have to deal with to make things work. Contentment is about finding something that you like doing and having people to share your passion. RUSSIAN TIME MAGAZINE
I hope you enjoy this issue of Russian Time Magazine as it was put together by a talented team of like-minded people who are passionate about their job. I have the honor of leading them and truly enjoy all the ups and down that come with such a pleasant responsibility, because your work is never a burden when it’s a labor of love.

In one of your YouTube blogs you mentioned that you had become a model by accident and relatively late in life (as a sophomore in college). Do you regret not starting modeling earlier?
At first, I did regret that I didn’t go into modeling sooner. For the most part, girls begin working as models between the age of 15 and 16. By the age of 20, they have a sizeable portfolio and experience of shooting for different brands. However, their careers often end sooner as well. There is time for everything and that timing is different for every person. I didn’t start modeling at the age of 15, but I managed to graduate from college and mature as a person instead. Today, I don’t feel sorry about anything at all. It all played out well.
What misconceptions about modeling do you encounter the most and do you try to prove those wrong?
The most common myth about modeling is that models are feebleminded, sugar babes if not worse. Unfortunately, there is no point in proving people wrong. People will always see what they want to see. Like with any other profession, there are all sorts of people in modeling. The girls I get to work with have college degrees, speak several languages and some are incredibly creative!
Your biggest take-away from this past year?
I’ve learned to meditate. Modern world is so overwhelming that most people can’t stop and clear their minds even for a few minutes. When we put hundreds of thoughts that clutter our mind on hold, we recharge and start fresh.
What person in the fashion industry would you want to meet and why?
Coco Chanel but unfortunately, she is no longer alive. I am not drawn to people who merely have something to do with fashion. I am amazed at individuals who not only are talented in what they do, but also have extraordinary insight and wisdom, whose sayings people quote, and who become the subject of books and movies. I like reading biographies of those who made history. I would love meeting them in person, see the way they behave, the way they speak, the traits they possess, and finally grasp what it is that makes them stand out.
What is the most painful goodbye that you have had to say lately?
The most painful goodbye was probably with my parents. I moved to the USA and they stayed in the Ukraine. We don’t get to see each other as often as we wish. It is difficult considering that I am an only child and I am very close with my family.
Do you have a dream that didn’t come true just yet?
I would love to act in a movie. I don’t have much acting experience yet and I didn’t go to school for that, but I am still convinced that I will make this dream a reality someday.
If you had to choose between a career as a model or keeping your YouTube blog, what would you ultimately choose?
I would choose YouTube since it opens lots of opportunities in different areas, even modeling. Some bloggers became models through their YouTube channels. Video blogging allows me to influence a greater number of people which, to me, is tremendously important.
Besides showing the daily life of a model, your YouTube videos also motivate your subscribers. You touch upon rather serious subjects related to personal growth. What is your goal with that?
As cliché as it may sound, I would like to make the world a better place by contributing, even slightly, to change by carrying a message that builds people up. When I receive letters in which people thank me and share stories of how my videos have inspired them to make positive changes in their lives, it makes me incredibly happy. When a large audience has their eyes upon you, it is a tremendous responsibility and it would be a shame not to use such an opportunity to make a positive influence in people’s lives.
Is there a rule that you never break?
It’s kind of silly but the first thing that comes to mind is that no matter how tired I am or how late I go to bed, I always remove my makeup and apply moisturizer.
In the modeling word, a happy marriage is rather an exception than a rule. How do you and your husband,Yevgeniy, manage to make your relationship work without trying to change each other?
A happy marriage is indeed an exception and not only in the modeling industry. Unfortunately, these days the institution of marriage and family is getting devalued; the number of divorces keeps increasing and there are fewer happily married couples. I wouldn’t say that my relationship with Jensen goes without us trying to change. We both get reshaped to a certain degree. It happens gradually as we adjust and learn to understand one another.
What part does money play in your life and is there an amount that would allow you to stop working?
I’ll put it this way: some people are obsessed with money, ways to make it or the lack of it. I think it’s a mistake. I try to focus on goals instead; money is just a collateral factor. I enjoy what I do. I would still keep doing it even if I did not have to make a living, maybe just in a more relaxed manner, making more time for personal development.
What has life in the U.S. taught you? Do you still miss your motherland?
It has taught me to be more open to everything new and unusual, from new food to different people and new cultures. Before moving here, it seems that I lived in a box; to me everything was either black or white. Immigration is stepping out of your comfort zone; it opens your mind and makes you bolder. I miss my motherland sometimes but now I only see myself as a visitor there.

People who run the world and their quotes about Bitcoin:
BILL GATES Co-Founder of Microsoft, Investor and Philanthropist “Bitcoin is exciting because it shows how cheap it can be. Bitcoin is better than currency in that you don’t have to be physically in the same place and, of course, for large transactions, currency can get pretty inconvenient.” Source: Bloomberg RICHARD BRANSON Founder of Virgin Group, which controls over 400 businesses “Well, I think it is working. There may be other currencies like it that may be even better. But in the meantime, there’s a big industry around Bitcoin. People have made fortunes off Bitcoin, some have lost money. It is volatile, but people make money off of volatility too.” Source: Bitcoin.com AL GORE Former Vice President of the United States “When bitcoin currency is converted from currency into cash, that interface has to remain under some regulatory safeguards. I think the fact that within the bitcoin universe an algorithm replaces the function of the government… that is actually pretty cool.” Source: Learning Bitcoin ERIC SCHMIDT Executive Chairman of Google “[Bitcoin] is a remarkable cryptographic achievement… The ability to create something which is not duplicable in the digital world has enormous value… Lot’s of people will build businesses on top of that.” Source: Newsbtc.com PETER THIEL Co-Founder of PayPal “PayPal had these goals of creating a new currency. We failed at that, and we just created a new payment system. I think Bitcoin has succeeded on the level of a new currency, but the payment system is somewhat lacking. It’s very hard to use, and that’s the big challenge on the Bitcoin side.” Source: Cryptocoinnews

Is it possible to become a millionaire overnight if you are not wolf of Wall Street, a movie star, have not won the lottery and have not buried a rich grandpa? It actually became possible not too long ago. Fortunate investments into cryptocurrencies have helped thousands across the globe get rich virtually overnight. The eminent brothers, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, who won a lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg over ownership of Facebook, invested part of the proceeds from their settlement into a Bitcoin purchase back in 2012. In 2017, after the cryptocurrency suddenly soared in value, they became the first Bitcoin billionaires in the world.
DIGITAL GOLD OR ECONOMIC BUBBLE? by Igor Alatortev Bitcoin came into play only nine years ago in January of 2009, but it has radically altered the world’s financial system and generated an immense amount of speculations and rumors. So what is this crypto fever? Is it a myth, a bubble, or an entirely new investment opportunity? RUSSIAN TIME MAGAZINE

27
Here are some myths, facts, and basic information about Bitcoin so you can form your own informed conclusion.
myth 1 Bitcoin is a currency
myth 2 Bitcoin is not
of the criminal underwold
backed up by anything
This myth came into existence because Bitcoin was used to make payments on the black online market called Silk Road which closed in 2013 due to illegal sales of armed weapons. The main argument in support of this myth is that Bitcoin transactions are anonymous which makes it a convenient payment method for shady activity. Another fact that raises suspicion regarding Bitcoin is that there is no entity, such as a government or a bank, backing it up. Bitcoin transactions are decentralized and not supported by any financial institution.
This is one of the main arguments presented by the opponents of cryptocurrency. They assume that the money they use every day is backed up by something like gold, for example. For a while, this was true because gold is a valuable limited resource. However, these days, government-issued fiat money, such as the US Dollar, Euro, Yen and the like, are not backed by anything either. Our beloved dollar lost its gold backing in 1972 and is supported solely by the power of the US economy. What stands behind Bitcoin? Technology! In order to produce one Bitcoin, one has to solve a very complex equation which requires a powerful computer and lots of energy. Bitcoin is also a limited resource. There are only 21 million Bitcoins that can be mined (produced). With this in mind, we can definitely say that the gold of the 21st century is not a precious metal but rather math. Bitcoin is a fast, reliable, digital currency that allows for a cost-effective transfer of equivalent values over great distances without intermediaries, like governments and banks.
Ironically, Bitcoin is one of the most transparent currencies invented so far. Unlike other traditional currencies like the US dollar, Euro, or Yen, all Bitcoin transactions are open, recorded in a blockchain, and can be easily traced. As of today, a great number of large companies such as Microsoft, Expedia.com, Newegg.com, Subway, Whole Foods (by purchasing gift card from Gyft), Bloomberg. com, Lionsgate Films, Badoo and others accept Bitcoins as a form of payment.
Everything you need to know about
BLOCKCHAIN & BITCOIN
What is Blockchain? Traditionally people use a trusted middleman, such as banks, to make monetary transaction. Blockchain technology allows consumers and suppliers to connect directly, removing the need for a third party.

Why is this technology revolutionary? It can work for almost every type of transaction involving value, including money, goods and property. Its potential uses are almost limitless: from collecting taxes to enabling immigrants to send money back to family in countries where banking is difficult.

There is a story that says that when the very first steam-driven locomotive was being set in motion, a woman ran in front of it and hollered that it was not going to move. When it did start moving, she was loudly yelling that it would not be able to stop. People are afraid of progress by nature, which explains why some are so hostile towards cryptocurrency. Such fear of progress gives rise to rumors and myths about Bitcoin. Only a fraction of people can adapt to change fast enough to be the ones benefiting from the block chain technology. What exactly is a bitcoin?
How do you buy Bitcoin?
How do you store/ save your coins?
Is Bitcoin the only cryptocurrency?
Bitcoin is a digital currency. That means, instead of physical coins or paper bills, money is represented as a long string of numbers and letters. Because Bitcoins are not physical they can be instantly transferred to anyone/ anywhere in the world.
Bitcoin can be purchased using traditional currencies such as dollars, but it can also be purchased using other digital currencies such as Ethereum or Litecoin. There are several online exchanges where you can buy and sell bitcoins.
The safest way to store Bitcoins is by using so called “cold storage," which simply means storing bitcoins offline. They could be saved on a USB flash drive or in a paper wallet which could be stored in a safety deposit box or somewhere secure.
No. There are over a thousand different electronic cryptocurrencies. At Cryptocurrency Market Capitalizations there are 1,506 of them listed with a total collective value of $353 billion.

myth 3 Bitcoin is a
myth 4 Bitcoin is a
ponzi scheme
financial bubble
This is a very widespread assertion made by opponents of cryptocurrencies. As we all know, a Ponzi scheme exists as long as there are new investors who provide income for the previous investors. At the same time, the lion’s share goes to the Ponzi scheme creators. With Bitcoin, previous owners do not receive Bitcoins from new participants. What happens is completely the opposite – those who participate later must buy Bitcoins from previous participants. Bitcoin is actually devoid of the concept of investors and dividends; it has users, who complete monetary transfers between addresses/accounts, and miners who provide for the working capability/efficiency of the system and are rewarded from that same system (autonomously, without the participation of any third parties). The rise and fall of the value of Bitcoin depends exclusively on the market dynamics - supply and demand at cryptocurrency exchanges. And the demand keeps growing, which is what provides for the growth of the market value of Bitcoin. This is comparable to the stock growth of successful companies and Bitcoin is a digital asset of sorts that increases in value.
One of the most popular analogies for the growing value of Bitcoins is the “Tulip Mania” - a theoretical financial bubble that occurred in the Netherlands in the 1630s. Bitcoin is often compared to the Tulip Mania, but how fair is this comparison? In essence, we can talk about a financial bubble in cases when we observe that a popular asset accumulates more and more money, the expectations of investors grow at an insane rate, yet the value of the asset does not increase. At a certain point, the difference between the expected and actual values becomes so great that the bubble pops, creating financial havoc to those involved. I do agree that there is some truth to the statements that such risks are present, to a degree, in the case of the Bitcoin, the ether and other cryptocurrencies that manifest rapid growth. It would be, however, rash and naïve to jump to a conclusion that the crypto market is a bubble. One only needs to look to what happens to company shares in a classic stock market. Bitcoin is digital gold which, if used wisely, will be invaluably useful to humanity.

With its pristine beaches, exquisite dining, and endless entertainment options, Maui is a pearl in the chain of the Hawaiian Islands. Planning a trip to Maui can get quite overwhelming given the wide range of options this island of magical sunsets hat to offer. Here are my personal recommendations on the best lodging, dining, and entertainment choices that I have discovered on Maui during my last tropical getaway.

MAUI the paradise island from a bird's eye view by Olga Garicichina
adrenaline Imagine yourself soaring like a bird over the most beautiful tropical island with its magnificent coastline stretching as far your eye can see. Nang Gliding Maui, one of the most unique attractions on the island, delivers this unforgettable sensation by taking you up in the air on an extremely light aircraft. The view from the top expands your imagination and delivers a whole new sensation. The owner of the company, Armin Engert, is a certified flight instructor with 30 years of experience and a great sense of humour. Our pre-flight instructions felt more like a comedy show while the flight itself was an unforgeable adventure. It’s an experience like no other for those seeking some great memories with a kick of adrenaline.

If you are a chocolate fan, then you must visit this unique farm. You will get this experience nowhere else. You will learn about the cultivation of cocoa beans and vanilla (and you will probably be shocked by the fact that 90% of chocolate is produced by slaves) and take part in tasting ten different types of chocolate. This fantastic experience combines education about growing cacao and the experience of actually turning beans into chocolate and a guided chocolate tasting! Also, you will prepare a real cocoa drink according to an ancient Mayan recipe. I have never drunk such a delicious cocoa. And, of course, I could not resist buying two high-quality chocolate bars, made simply of cocoa and sugar. Be sure to book a tour in advance, as they sell out very quickly!
If you live in California, you may be accustomed to great food and may not be easily impressed by Maui’s restaurants and delicious food. Therefore, before dining at The Mill House Restaurant, we could not imagine that such a visit would leave an imprint on our souls. The restaurant is located in the heart of a sugar cane plantation. Before starting on a feast for your taste buds, we strongly recommend that you begin with the most delicious coffee from The Mill House Roasting Company. Then, take the tram and go on a plantation tour. You will not find as many interesting and amazing facts about exotic fruits anywhere else! The finale, of course, will be lunch or dinner at The Mill House Restaurant. Talented chef, Jeff Cher, does wonders, using only local produce grown under the friendly, Hawaiian sun.
In absolutely every Maui guide, you are guaranteed to find this highway listed. Some particularly proud drivers advertise their adventure with a bumper sticker announcing, “I survived the Road to Hana”. There are about 600 turns on the 35 miles of road. Nevertheless, the road is in excellent condition and a Jeep is absolutely not needed for travel. The Highway to Hana is incredibly picturesque. One of the must see places is the park with the soporific name, “Wai-anapa-napa”. Its main feature is a beach of black sand which is very rare on Maui. The lifespan of black sand beaches is only a couple of hundred years, unlike the usual yellow sand beaches which are fed from organic sources.

It’s a crime to be on Maui and not get to the top of Haleakala, a dormant volcano! The word “Haleakala” in Hawaiian means “House of the Sun”. Hawaiians never lived in this region, but regularly visited, bringing gifts to the gods. Depending upon which part of the island you are coming from, the road to the top will take you two to five hours. Do not forget to bring warm clothes, hot tea or coffee and snacks. You will be grateful to me afterwards for this advice. You must buy a pass to the park for $1.50 in advance on the website www. recreation.gov, otherwise you will not have access to the park. Also, on the website www.nps.gov check sunrise and sunset times atop Haleakala and choose the perfect day to enjoy the most magical spectacle of your life!
I planned this parasailing adventure long before our trip to the island. It turned out to be an ideal gift for my spouse. On this amazing excursion, we were accompanied by a couple of 65 year-old doctors and a married couple. While the boat motors along on the water below, you hover in the air and enjoy a breathtaking, bird’s eye view of the Pacific. And it is not scary at all! So do not hesitate, just do it! The staff was absolutely amazing! They were extremely courteous and showed a great customer appreciation UFO Parasail is a family-owned company since 1985 and has done everything to ensure that tourists receive a first-class experience and are delighted with their flight!
The number of hotels on Maui is immense. Tourists do not always know where to look first when choosing a hotel. Two key factors are: location and price. If two of you are travelling together, it is easier to choose the right lodging: first, choose a part of the island and then book a hotel from popular websites. If you decide to travel with children or friends, then contact Ridge Realty Rentals. They offer many beautiful condos and houses through well-known Airbnb. The quality of their service is unmatched, and the prices are so affordable that a condo with an ocean view in a picturesque location may cost no more than $1,500 for seven nights!

Omega 3

These fats are imperative to our diet. Human body is incapable of synthesizing them, so they must be obtained through food. Some of the health benefits of Omega 3 include reduced cholesterol, blood pressure, and inflammation, as well as improved cognitive function and mood. Omega 3 is derived from the fatty layers of coldwater fish, fish oil is rich in the long chain of omega 3 fatty acids eicosapentanoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). In a perfect world, we would all be getting enough omega-3 fatty acids in our diet. In reality most people don’t, so the best way to assure a proper intake is by taking supplements in either liquid or capsule form.
Resveratrol Here is a curious fact, French eat more fat, sugar and rich foods, plus drink more wine, but still have less heart health issues comparing to health cautious Americans. How is that possible? The answer to this puzzling question, known as the “French Paradox,” is believed to be due to a higher intake of a specific phytonutrient called resveratrol, found naturally in “superfoods” like red wine. Resveratrol is a powerful compound that regenerates the body all the way at the cellular level. Research published over the past several decades in many medical journals, including the American Journal of Hypertension, found that resveratrol decreases the risk of heart disease among other common health concerns. In case you’re wondering, you don’t have to be a wine drinker to benefit from resveratrol. Other sources include deeply-colored berries and real dark chocolate/cacao. Along with helping keep arteries clear from plaque buildup and protecting an aging heart, this phytonutrient can also help reduce inflammation, prevent obesity and protect cognitive health among elders.
CoQ10 Short for coenzyme q10
3 4
CoQ10 is an essential element for many daily functions and is required by every single cell in the body. As an antioxidant that protects cells from the effects of aging, CoQ10 has been used in medical practices for decades, especially in the case of treating heart problems. Still today, one of the most common and thoroughly researched uses of CoQ10 is helping protect the heart and blood vessels from the damaging effects of oxidative stress. Many consumers turn to CoQ10 supplements to help manage health conditions, including heart arrhythmia, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis and congestive heart failure. Research shows that patients with other inflammatory health conditions, such as breast cancer, diabetes, viruses and infertility, may also find these supplements helpful for both preventions of complications and treatment of symptoms.
Chlorophyll Chlorophyll is linked to natural cancer prevention, it blocks carcinogenic effects within the body and protects DNA from damage caused by toxic molds. Chlorophyllin supplements are believed to help neutralize oxidants, which means they effectively decrease oxidative damage caused by factors like a poor diet, chemical carcinogens, UV light exposure and radiation. This component has another surprising benefit. It seems to help promote weight loss by controlling appetite hormones and improving obesity-related risk factors, all without the scary side effects of most commercial weight-loss supplements. As you probably know, chlorophyll is produced by plants but cannot be synthesized by a human body. It has to be derived from our diet or supplements. Try adding a few drops of liquid chlorophyll to a glass of water once or twice a day. It will turn your water bright green although, rest assured, it doesn’t taste as bad as it might look. Aside of other benefits it could also give you a little boost of energy when sipped throughout the day.

For years people believed that antioxidant supplements could prevent anything, from cancer to heart attacks, strokes, cataracts and more. It made sense, because damage caused by wayward oxygen could trigger tumors, ruin arteries and blur vision, so the belief was that antioxidant supplements could flush that damage away. An update from the Health Study published in the October 2011 issue of the International Journal of Cancer found that antioxidant supplements do not work as well as those found in foods because they may not reach the part of the body where they are needed most. Also, too many antioxidants may actually speed up the oxidation process. You might want to avoid getting this element in a form of supplement and turn to nature’s packaging like beans, blueberries, and grapes.

Futures High School is a neighborhood independent charter high school serving students in grades 9-12 in Sacramento area since Fall 2004. Student success is in the center of their intentions and they believe that it would be challenging for a person to function successfully in the ever-changing and unknown world of the future without the core traits of integrity, grit, empathy, self-control, and an appreciation and understanding of diversity. The school provides three main supports to guide students toward success. It’s the academic support, which they tailor to the holistic needs of each student. A positive climate that promotes socio-emotional wellness and opportunities to build leadership skills and the core traits that surround student success. And last but not least, help in preparing students for their future college and career aspirations by helping them gain 21st century and industry-specific skills as well as helping them navigate the admission process for their future endeavors. School’s competitive advantages are rigorous academic program, engineering program (Project Lead The Way), athletics, Russian Language and Literature. Futures High School is a unique school in Sacramento as it serves high EL population with high success rate in state tests and college success. They deeply value students as equal partners in school’s decision-making along with parents and community. Being a small school helps them keep the community feel, safe and positive environment, respect for students’ heritage and culture, strong English Learner program and support, bilingual staff for parents, strong academic and character development programs.

FACTS ABOUT VARIOUS JOBS Featured Guest: Jenny Rafailov Occupation: Combat Medic, U. S. Army Age: 19
THERE ARE MORE THAN 50,000 PROFESSIONS IN THE WORLD. Find out interesting facts about different trades as people share curious random facts about their jobs.
Why did you choose to join the Army? Originally I wanted to go into the Marines but I was interested in the medical field and Marines didn’t offer that. The army seemed like the second best option. Was there anything you missed during your training? Definitely. I missed wearing something other than green or black. How many push-ups can you do? I think my record was 65, but I might be able to do more.
What was the greatest fear that you were able to conquer?
Any particular food cravings while in the Army?
The fear of failure.
Honestly, after a while everything they serve starts tasting the same. I missed everything that wasn’t on our usual menu, especially home cooked meals.
You went to Fort Sill in Oklahoma for basic training and Fort Sam Houston for Medical Training. Was it hard to keep up and compete with men during your training? Sometimes it was. The army makes it very strict to not be biased based on gender. However, oftentimes men still treat women as a weaker link, by assuming that women can carry or handle less, for example. I just took that as an opportunity to prove them wrong.
Your motto Die with memories not dreams. I don’t want to get to the end of my life thinking, “I wished I have done this or that.” I want to be able to look back and feel happy about everything that I did and the people I did it with.

Beautiful
After years of trying to get the perfect smile that I envisioned, I found Dr. Crooks and her team. I chose her practice because of the many recommendations, but I stayed because I saw her passion for dentistry. When I decided to follow through with veneers, Dr. Crooks talked me through the entire process and what would be expected. I was nervous but she made me feel comfortable and excited! Dr. Crooks and her staff exceeded all my expectations! The confidence Dr. Crooks gave me is something I can’t thank her enough for. Dr. Crooks is a true artist and perfectionist, and it is apparent after seeing results!

Finding credit and financing options for your business About one in three business owners use their own funds or personal credit for their business, according to a recent Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index survey. Yet as a business seeks to grow, obtaining business credit is essential and may help finance purchases, build a credit history, supplement cash flow, and preserve savings.
About one in three business owners use their own funds or personal credit for their business. So how do you choose the most suitable credit option for your business? The type of business credit you may need depends on your business goals and how much funding you need. Following are several common credit needs, and options available to address each one: Need a way to pay for everyday business expenses? When looking for a convenient way to pay for everyday business expenses and a smart alternative to cash, checks, and personal credit cards, business credit cards may be a good option. With a business credit card, it may be easier to separate your business from personal expenses and immediately pay for day to day business expenses. Need to make large seasonal purchases or cover payroll? Nearly every small business will face a time when it needs more cash than it has on hand. A business line of credit may provide fast, easy access to cash (which can bridge gaps in cash flow) and help supplement cash flow for business expansion, taxes, insurance, or other expenses.
Want to expand your business or make a large equipment or vehicle purchase? For a specific business need, business term or equipment loans should be considered. Loans give businesses immediate access to funds and are ideal for business owners who want a flexible way to get a lump sum at a fixed or variable interest rate for a fixed period of time. There are many types of loans, including unsecured loans, secured equipment loans, real estate loans, and vehicle loans, and rates and terms vary. When evaluating lending options, you should also consider an SBA loan. Through government-guaranteed SBA loans, financial institutions are able to extend financing to a segment of creditworthy small business owners who may not be able to obtain a conventional loan or loan terms that meet their business needs. Business owners who are looking to buy real estate, acquire a new business, purchase equipment, fund business expansion, make leasehold improvements, or fund construction may find that an SBA loan offers more flexible terms than a conventional loan. SBA products include the SBA Express line of credit, and SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 term loans. As business owners consider their credit options, they should consult with a banker to help determine the best option to meet the specific needs of their business. America’s #1 Small Business Lender and #1 SBA Lender*
