French maritime pine is a traditional softwood flooring material which, due to the fact that it offers many similar advantages, is recommended as a cost-effective alternative to oak. As a rustic, knotty timber which offers longer, wider boards, French maritime pine is characterised by the attractively prominent colour variation between heartwood and sapwood.
Hand-selected and graded boards ensure that a consistently high quality is achieved. Wide boards are unique to this species and allow the character of the board to be shown off to best effect. Wide range of styles and colours enables you to create a bespoke look.
Unfinished For the freedom to finish your floor exactly as you wish, Russwood recommends our unfinished maritime pine flooring. The untreated boards can be finished on-site, reducing your up-front costs and giving you complete flexibility to select the best option for your project.

Pre-finished Our pre-finished maritime pine boards offer a number of customisation options. Regardless of the look you desire, you can rest assured that the end result will be a flawless, factory-finished floor that is ready to use as soon as it is fitted. Style You can choose either a smooth (1) or brushed (2) texture for your floor. To create a smooth finish the boards are meticulously planed to produce a perfectly even, natural look. In contrast, to create a stunning texture the boards are machine-brushed to remove the soft spring wood, leaving the harder summer wood with some appealing knots. This accentuates the grain and figuring and results in a beautifully textured surface. Board size An attractive and popular feature of our maritime pine is the fact that all boards measure two metres in length and they are available in widths of up to 200mm, enabling you to create a stunning, seamless effect.

Colour Our pre-finished boards are machine-coated with your choice of nine coloured Osmo hardwax oils.
