Law has traditionally been seen as a maledominated sector and therefore Reading University's Law Society organises this talk in order to see what it is like to be a woman working in the Bar or in law firms. The panel will consist of Mary Prior QC (criminal law barrister expert in vulnerable defendants), Sarah Jane Boon (family law partner), Riel Karmy-Jones QC (criminal barrister specialising in homicide, terrorism, and human trafficking), and Carola Binney (pupil barrister in commercial law). Zero Waste and Fine Art – Upcycling Workshop: Free Event: Just bring some clothes or accessories you want to upcycle and some art supplies like paint, permanent markers, scrap fabric, thread or bleach to make your creation. We will give you some examples and tips, then we can chat and upcycle clothes together.
