Molly philpott

Student Activities Officer

Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU) is a democratic body led by students, for students, with 5 elected student officers leading the organisation. Each with individual roles and remits, they are here to ensure different aspects of your university life are as enjoyable as possible. I’m Molly and I’m responsible for Sports, Societies, Volunteering, Student Media, and RAG, all within Student Activities. I have just finished my degree in Accounting and Management and during my time at Uni I was President of the Ladies Hockey Club and played for their 1st team. My main priorities as Activities Officer this year are looking at gym memberships, RAG’s involvement with sports, and the promotion of nonsports societies and media. Twice a term there are activity group meetings for each of the different groups within Sports and Societies, where the members of each society and club can raise ideas, issues and changes that they feel should be actioned. Having been a student at Reading, I know just how much joining a society or team can enhance your experience here. Get involved as much as possible and I promise you’ll have the time of your life!
