WINE Rutherglen is renowned for its legendary Muscats & Tokays, which are truly unique on the world wine stage. So whilst you’re in the region, make sure you take the time to visit some of the wineries and sample some of these delights plus some of the exciting new table wines being produced in Rutherglen. ACTIVITIES

Once your function or conference is over, there’s plenty of reasons to spend an extra day or two in Rutherglen…..just to relax sounds like a good one! You can stylishly tour around the wineries with friends in chauffeur-driven comfort, either in an old Rolls Royce, air conditioned coaches or even the full stretch limo. We’ll also pick you up from your accommodation and whisk you away for lunch or dinner, chauffeur you to a secluded picnic spot on the might Murray with a hamper and wine or you can simply tour around the region at your own pace. It’s that easy.

If you’re looking for something to do pre or post your Rutherglen function, then we’ve got all bases covered. If it’s something more physical you’re after, then there’s the option of hiring bicycles from the Rutherglen Wine Experience for you to tour along our lovely country lanes and pre-mapped cycling routes. We also have the magniﬁcent golf courses of Corowa (27 holes) and Howlong (18 holes) just a pitching iron away. We have a great range of river walks and the wonderful Lake Moodemere Walking Track, which the whole family will enjoy. And for an insight into what Rutherglen was like in its heyday, there’s also the self-guided Rutherglen Heritage Walk booklet, which will take you back to a simpler time.

OTHER LOCATIONS Rutherglen makes a perfect base to explore the broader north east region, with most places no more the 45 mins drive. The historic villages of Beechworth, Stanley, Yackandandah and Chiltern makes for a wonderful day of leisurely touring and discovery, whilst the Milawa Gourmet Region is a mere 45 mins from Rutherglen. To the west is Yarrawonga Mulwala with its magniﬁcent lakeside setting plus its infamous 45 hole golf course, that will challenge most. 30 mins north and you’re in Albury Wodonga, Australia’s largest inland city with airport connections to Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.
