Silver Vase and Cover by Fabergé

Moscow, 1908-1917 struck with maker’s mark K.FABERGE in Cyrillic beneath Imperial Warrant, silver mark of 84 zolotniks height: 36 cm

Silver vase of tapering form with gilt interior, chased to the front with a vacant decorative cartouche with stylised cornucopia at the base , the lower body chased with a frieze of leaf motifs on the ground of raised beads and edged with bands of bead and scroll motifs, these motifs repeated on a chased band around the circular foot, the neck rim with a band of cabochon-set garnets centring rectangular panels decorated with stylised berries, the domed cover with stylised, scroll-chased finial.
