Every day that passes our continent empties itself from its population, thousands of Africans are losing their lives in the Mediterranean trying to reach Europe in search of a better life, a real social disaster while the continent absorbs investment from the four corners of the globe, politicians embezzle everything and you find it normal?
My brother Awal, instead of lamenting in your corner, you better go for a tour in Africa, because the continent is moving slowly but surely, the situation is not as dramatic as it is described in the Media in the West. First, the immigration you’re talking about! It’s not only Africans that are migrating. All over the world people migrate, you have to be uninformed to believe the opposite! Human being always migrated and this throughout its evolution, so it is not only the Africans. Hell to African is sometimes the Eldorado for the Westerner .... LOL... and do not forget that there are also illegal Europeans in Africa ...

Issa Traore unveils
his collection in Japan B orn in Bamako, the capital of Mali in a family of merchants, young Issa arrived in Japan in 2001 as a student. After completing a Masters in Finance from Riutsu Keizai University, he entered “Tokyo Kan kan”, an import export company, working there for six years before starting his own collection of African Art.
Issa is not your typical collector. While in Africa in search of rare objects to enrich his collection in Japan, he devotes much time raising local craftsmen awareness to the protection of their cultural heritage and of the environment. The young entrepreneur is also the bearer of a social project entitled {A Village a Project}. The goal is to contribute to the improvement of the lives of rural populations. His project includes; drinking water wells, supply of agricultural materials, refitting of classrooms etc. Mr Issa Traore also plans to expand its activities through its Global Art company created two years ago, importing West African Shea Butter to Japan. Shea butter is an edible substance extracted from the fruit of Karite, a tree growing in the savannahs of West Africa, known for exceptional therapeutic virtues and very useful in cosmetic products. He accepted to open the photo album of his last trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo where he attended a very secret funeral ceremony of the”Baluba” tribe. See the pictures.

Warrior Bete Mask / ( The Bete pople is an ethnic group from (Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire) This is a Gle dancer mask. It is carried out during the funeral ceremonies or during the great feasts and meetings between several villages. Formerly it was a mask of war and had the task of preparing men for battle. As for the Gueres people, the whole mask, costume, and dance attribute, could weigh more than forty kilos and required the dancer to have an athletic constitution and regime.
Mask Baoule (Cote d’Ivoire) Celebrating twins and happiness bringing mask / also used in dance ceremonies. BAOULE The Baoulé ethnic group currently lives in central and eastern Côte d’Ivoire. The Baoule arrived from Ghana in early 18th century. In Ghana, they had learned how to dominate, like the Ashanti, the handling of metal, and in their new location they had to learn from the Gouro to work the wood. The combination of their former skill with the new learning has resulted in a technically superior art, and a balanced aesthetic.
Dogon Neck Support (Mali) This Neck Support from the Dogon of Mali, with a male sex symbolizes fertility. DOGON The Dogon people of Mali have well preserved their roots, homogeneity, specific manners and customs, and their secular beliefs. The Dogon stand as one of the rare indigenous people to successfully resisted onslaught by the invaders, that were the Arabs and Europeans.

Lobi Stool (Burkina Faso) Used only by men in the evening after field work, for drinking with friends. A short story of the LOBI people The Lobi country stretches over Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso. The term “Lobi” refers to a group of ethnic groups, the main ones being the Birifor, the Dagara, the Gans and the Lobi proper. Originating from Ghana, the Lobi crossed the Mouhoun river at the end of the 18th century to settle in successive waves in search of fertile land. Today they form a population of about 160,000 inhabitants, the majority of whom live in Burkina Faso. Though talking very different languages, Lobi, Birifor and Dagara share many cultural traits.

Courage is an essential quality that must be expressed in war or to avenge the honor of its clan. The unity of the group rests essentially on the common worship that its inhabitants render to the goddess Earth or “di”. This divinity is the wife of “Thagba”, the supreme God, creator of all that lives, master of heaven and lightning. It fertilizes it by rain and gives the crops.
