Norfolk Flower Farm

Norfolk Flower Farm launched last year and is the product of Ellie Frost ’s passion for growing British cut flowers Having run out of space at home for the obsessive growing, and with a realisation she could turn the idea into a dream business, as well as creating a sustainable venture, the fledgling farm was founded

On a half an acre field located in Edgefield, Ellie grows seasonal flowers full of pollinator-loving insects, abundant with scent and charm, and with an everchanging harvest week by week and month by month throughout the growing season

With around 85% of cut flowers flown into the UK from around the globe, there is a huge carbon footprint. Buying local flowers has many advantages, not least ticking the eco-friendly box, but the selection of English garden flowers has so much more whimsical interest and joy

During the growing season, which is between April/May and November, the flowers grown are used to create beautiful hand-tied gift bouquets for delivery, and on Fridays and Saturday mornings you can rock up to the flower field to buy kitchen table bunches.

And if you’re set for a rustic Norfolk wedding, you can book bridal bouquets, buttonholes and DIY flower buckets – perfect for the creatives out there who want to put their own touch on the venue décor

To keep up to date with the when the flowers will be available, you can sign up to the newsletter via the website norfolkflowerfarm.com. ellie frost : ellie@norfolkflowerfarm com

From Holt Holistic Centre

I’m optimistic that spring is just around the corner and, if you’re like me, the lighter mornings, slightly longer days and bulbs poking up through the soil gives me a renewed motivation and a sense of ‘waking up’ again!

As a keen exercise enthusiast, the knowledge that soon I will be able to go for a run wearing less layers, dog walk without wearing a head torch and wellie boots and get the bike out of the shed to return to training out on the roads helps lift my mood and gives me a focus or a goal to work towards For me it ’s to complete the Norfolk Superhero Challenge again in June this year, which is a charity event that involves a swim, kayak, bike and run so I’m going to be busy!

We know that regular movement, fresh air and exercise is good for us in so many ways Our bodies are incredible machines that are designed to move The chemicals such as endorphins that are released when we exercise lift our mood and make us feel more positive and happy My role as a Physiotherapist is to discuss what each individual's goal or target is and then help them to achieve that goal as part of their treatment and rehabilitation This usually involves a combination of ‘hands on’ treatment sessions plus a specific tailored exercise plan and self-management techniques to reach that goal and hopefully progress further I have 20 years’ experience in the treatment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions plus a real passion and desire to get people moving! Whether the goal is to be able to garden for 30 minutes or to walk the dog up Beeston Bump, to jog 5k 3 times a week, to run a marathon or play a game of tennis, Physiotherapy can help you achieve your goal and give you the confidence to return to regular activities of your choice with the knowledge and understanding of how your body works, what you can do to help manage or an prevent injury and how you can look after yourself going forward

If you have an existing injury that's not resolving or a recurring injury that is preventing you from achieving your goal or you are just not sure where to start but know you have a goal in mind then I would love to help you I have appointments available Monday to Friday at Holt Holistic Centre or at my clinic in Gunthorpe You can contact me on 07919621006 or email: cdye physio@gmail com
