Wells Community Hospital 2023

Coastal Health and Wellbeing

Coastal Health and Wellbeing at The Old Cottage Hospital, Wells Next the Sea (Formerly Wells Community Hospital Trust)

How to support your community by supporting Coastal Health and Wellbeing's community supermarket and hygiene bank

Our Coastal Community supermarket provides affordable healthy meals, comforting treats, and sanitary/hygiene products to local people We have continued to grow, reaching upwards of 300 people in North Norfolk, with many more utilising our other health and wellbeing services at the old cottage hospital in Wells-next-the-Sea Lifetime membership is £3.50, and people can access the service from village halls across North Norfolk

We thank our suppliers who have supported us for the last six months With kind donations from local suppliers, we enable people to live with dignity and sustain an affordable but healthy lifestyle The cost of food has risen circa 40% in the last year; we hope to bridge the ever-growing gap between people's finances, their ability to eat well, and self-care.

10% of North Norfolk's population are considered deprived, so every one of your donations is reaching people who need it most

We are also providing parcels to families during the school holidays providing a few days' food when wallets are tightest and giving people the choice of a good meal and a day out with the family, and we support Ukrainian refugees who regularly use the community supermarket

If you would like to help us expand our reach do get in touch as we are looking for volunteers to help us run the supermarket in different venues across North Norfolk Contact admin@wellshospital uk

We are always happy to receive donations, we particularly need sanitary towels, toothpaste, and bars of soap, for our free hygiene bank. Please drop donations to reception at The Old Cottage Hospital, Mill Road, Wells Next the Sea, NR23 1RF
