SIMS Presents at International Simulation Conference

The Office of SIMS presented a seminar at the 22nd Annual International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) in Los Angeles. The conference, which is the largest healthcare medical simulation meeting in the world, was conducted by the Society of Simulation in Healthcare and included more than 3,000 participants from more than 28 countries.

RVU was represented by Susan Carter, MD, FACOG, FACS, Director of the Office of SIMS, and Tariq Al Shanteer, BSBME, CHSOS, Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialist, whose unique Obstetric Trauma Demonstration was well-received by learners from many programs and specialties. Their presentation was titled, "Developing a Hybrid Cost-Effective Advanced Simulator for Obstetric Trauma Training." In attendance were numerous industry representatives who were familiar with RVU’s advanced technology modalities in simulation.
