Eat Healthy At Your Home

During the COVID-19, everyone staying at homes are looking at options what they can eat at home. Eating a home cooked food is necessary as ordering food online is not a good option. Moreover, eating home-cooked food is like spending a good time to get into shape and rejuvenate. Working from home means that you can eat when you like, and what ever you like. With this, there is no count on what you’re eating, resulting in weight gain. To avoid such a situation, it’s good to eat healthy and keep a check on what ever you’re putting in your stomach.

Eat Home Cooked Food As we’re eating home-cooked food, we can plan our meals based on well balanced diet. Plan a diet that includes moderate carbs, adequate proteins, some milk product and lots of veggies. Eating nutrients rich food will boost your energy and productivity levels. Moreover, it will keep you from eating junk food. If you want to save sometime for yourself, you can involve your family to do prep like chopping, cleaning, and preparing masalas in one go. In this way, you can spend a good time with your family.

Fix Your Meal Time Just because you’re working from home doesn’t mean you can have your meal whenever you feel like or you get free. Keep your meal timings fixed like a working day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner latest by 9pm. For refreshment, take snack breaks for 10-15 minutes to relax your mind. Stop snacking on packed chips, rather include fruits, nuts, boiled corn or peas, or chanas in your diet. Munching on healthy snacks is good but this doesn’t mean you keep on munching for the whole day.

Stay Hydrated Dehydration can lead to fatigue and headaches. So keep yourself hydrated by drinking at least 8 ounce of water in a day. Keep a water bottle at your table or set a reminder on your mobile app to remind yourself that you need to drink water. Try and drink more in between meals, and less with meals.

Avoid Caffeine 2-3 cups/day is adequate. However, excessive intake of caffeine can have a bad impact on your health. So if you want to drink a coffee, you can try different flavors of green tea to calm your nerves or anxieties.

Workout Daily By staying home, you are saving a lot of time. You can use this time to work on yourself. An exercise for 30 minutes daily can boost your mood and keep yourself active and fit.
