various locations - italia È La Vita is by far my most favourite in-progress piece to date and the one I felt connected to as it develops. After the breakup and moving to Milan, loneliness felt heavy to a point where depression and suicidal thoughts prevail. Not to mention the sudden shift of reality because of the pandemic. The Italian dream that I’ve been imagining had turned into a resentment. I took photography as a way to clear the mind, relating myself with the surroundings. This is a series where I try to dream a new dream, to see Italy in a new light; wanting to be able to fall in love again with Italy and connect with new people away from desperation.
