I will explain some features about Photoshop and how to use it. I will also explain some things about how to download photos and certain features about naming them.
Digital Camera - They capture images by using pixels - Pixels are the small square of color that are captured in an image - Pictures are becoming bigger and bigger
Ratio and Megapixels - A 4:3 ratio means that the width to height is 4 to 3
- A 4:3 ratio is shaped like a regular computer screen - A 16:9 ratio is shaped like a wide screen computer
Downloading Images - A file size is measured in mega pixels as well as the quality
- You can manually downsample images that you take - You have to use a downloading cord to get pictures from the camera to the computer
Save For Web - It optimizes images for use on the web - You are able to use the actual size and chance your image to a certain file type - There are many different file types for example .jpg, .png, or .gif - Photoshop automatically changes the resolution to 72 and the file size to a certain quality like high or low
Best Practices - All file names should be in lower case - The file should include the name of the assignment, semester, and your last name - The file should be separated by dashes so there is no white space
