Ella Smith
Maria Montessori Academy
Ella is nominated for this award because she is a kind person who practices grace and courtesy with her peers and educators. Plus, she is always putting others first by being willing to help others with a smile. She is the type of student that goes above and beyond to help her fellow classmates. Ella helps other students get to their other classrooms and makes sure they have a friend during lunch, reset, and other times. Ella works extra hard on her class assignments and makes sure they are done on time. She uses her time wisely in class, and she will always be a lifelong learner. Ella has high standards when it comes to her integrity and honesty; this is something that people just know by being around her. She loves the atmosphere of school, and the students and Ella feel very comfortable with the school curriculum and school environment. When the class gets a new student, Ella makes sure the new student feels welcome.
Tymber Bailey
Orion Jr. High School
Tymber is an 8th-grade student at Orion Jr. High. Her favorite subject is Spanish II, and she really enjoys learning from her Spanish teacher. Tymber’s hobbies are painting and drawing, and she has a goal to improve on her math skills. She is interested in becoming a nurse in the future to help people and would like to attend Weber State University or BYU. Tymber is very respectful, nice, funny, and fun to be around. She is recognized for showing up and putting in the effort, doing the right thing, being kind to her peers, and having a great attitude. Tymber is appreciated for being a great all-around example. Congratulations, Tymber!
Laiba Khan
North Ogden Junior High
Laiba is the type of person who brings her kind personality with her wherever she goes. She improves the classroom environment through consistent positive interactions with teachers and with classmates. Laiba can always be counted on to stay focused and get her work done. She produces work that shows accuracy, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail. She is great at taking the initiative to get started on her assignments, and she always puts in her best effort. Laiba has developed more confidence this year, especially in advocating for herself. She is learning to ask for help when needed, which is a very important skill to develop. These strengths will all greatly benefit Laiba throughout her life. It will be fun to see all that Laiba accomplishes in the future! There is no doubt she will leave a great legacy wherever she goes next.
