Chicago Hosts SEASON 10 AUDITIONS OF

America’s Got Talent January, 17, 2015, Chicago. For someone who has a talent, the biggest opportunity of bringing it to the audition is already a huge accomplishment. Now on its Season 10, America’s Got Talent (AGT) open audition has come to Chicago to continue rounding up that most talented person in the country. Over a couple of thousands of hopefuls showed up on January 17-18, 2015 auditions that started at 8 a.m. at the McCormick Place in Chicago. Those who came on the first day of the audition are mostly children and teen performers in solos and groups. Registration went really smooth and surprisingly very organized. Security personnel onsite were very helpful in giving instructions and providing directions to people walk-in the building.

Chicago’s two young and promising Filipino American singers are among those who auditioned for AGT’s Season 10! AGT brought in their own employees and hired Chicago locals to help with the audition. There were families who came in as early as 6 in the morning. Others posted in their Instagram that they waited for a long time to be called to meet with the producer judges, with some for as long as 6-7 hours of waiting. At the end of the day, it was all worth it. Chicago local, James-13, a young singer from northwest suburbs, came with his dad. James is bringing to the audition his proven long experience in singing competitions. His dad said that “we are having a great time, I know James will do his best to impress the judges. We are just happy to become part of this.”

Madi, 12, who came from the far west suburbs of Chicago was also with her family. She joined the Sunday audition. She posted on her Facebook account while waiting for her turn, “This is the biggest time of my life, and I am so excited just by coming here.” She added that she made a lot of new friends during the audition.

Yours truly here is a proud parent for bringing a daughter to the audition. Kayla was very excited, she said “I just want to perform in front of the producers.” Kayla met with 2 producer judges, and was asked to perform her 90–second runs. She performed Adelle’s “Set Fire to the Rain” in a Capella, and another track music of Dusty Springfield’s “You don’t have to say you love me.” Both performances turned out great. But at the end of the day, AGT would still make their disposition on what acts do they want to move on from Chicago auditions. Call backs are scheduled at the end of February. Best of luck for everyone who went to the auditions! It would be exciting to see how many acts from Chicago will move on to live shows in New York shows, with AGT’s celebrity judges. Other than Chicago, AGT include the following cities in the list of their open auditions: Tampa, FL, Nashville, TN, Richmond, VA, New York, NY, St. Louis, MO, San Antonio, TX, Albuquerque, NM, San Francisco, CA, Boise, ID and the last stop in Los Angeles, CA.
