Founded in 1952, Reeves Young is a fully integrated construction company made up of five business units: Water Resources, Heavy Civil, Commercial Public, Commercial Private, and Industrial. The project will include 29,000 assignable square feet of student and maker space that will include capstone projects, maker space and shops, machine shop, student organizations, and meeting and presentation spaces. It will also include 32,000 assignable SQ FT of biomedical cross-disciplinary space to include biomedical engineering research labs, and offices; cross-disciplinary biomedical research labs and faculty offices for computer science, chemical and materials engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, and electrical and computer engineering.

The Press Box at Houchens Industries – L.T. Smith Stadium, originally constructed in 1968, is undergoing a transformative renovation to address its outdated and non-ADA-compliant status. The Pressbox renovation project aims to revitalize the 15,300 SQ FTspace into a modern, state-of-the-art facility tailored for media coverage during Hilltopper Football Games. The renovation includes an expansion and installation of an elevator to meet ADA requirements, ensuring accessibility for all individuals. Positioned above the Harbaugh Club, the renovated Press Box will serve as a central hub for game-day operations, housing television broadcast facilities, radio booths, coaches’ booths, working press areas, and game operations.

Smith Stadium and Nick Denes Field. This facility will cater to various needs, including housing the WKU E-Sports programs with cutting-edge competition spaces, practice pods, and offices. Additionally, it will become the new headquarters for the Big Red Marching Band, offering dedicated storage and support areas, as well as an all-weather practice venue for year-round use. Furthermore, the facility will feature a state-of-theart Baseball Clubhouse complete with locker rooms, a weight room, team rooms, and coaches’ offices.

This new project includes approximately 70,000 SQ FT of new building construction, site development, parking areas, drives and infrastructure improvements. The new construction consists of two buildings and two additions to existing buildings. The building will consist of educational spaces to accommodate technical college academic programs and required support spaces. Spaces will include, but not limited to, both high and standard ceiling height laboratories, classrooms, covered storage, faculty, staff, and student support spaces. Laboratories will be designed to simulate a work environment for the practical applications of instruction and skill.

Reeves Young completed this project that serves as the heart of Emory University’s Oxford College Campus. Centered around all student activities, this project included the renovation of a 20,000 SQ FT 1960’s dining hall, and a 13,500 SQ FT addition, including study and classroom areas, flexible open spaces, bookstore, dance studio, game room, lounges, bookstore, conference spaces, convenience store and café/dining options. The project included site improvements integrating the project into existing pathways and plazas. The addition was completed first and tied into the existing building, requiring the removal of the building skin spanning two levels, exposing the structure allowing for the buildings to be connected.

It includes a 3-story atrium with curtain wall glass, café, group study rooms, classrooms, research commons, faculty offices, tutoring suite, instructional labs, faculty workrooms, lecture hall with pre-function area, conference rooms, quiet reading areas, and the capacity to accommodate over 300,000 volumes of material.

The scope of work also included new construction of a 30,056 SQ FT Athletic Building that includes locker and training rooms, coaching offices, and a reception suite. The 22-acre site also includes appropriate access drives, pedestrian and maintenance ways, and maintenance spaces.

Reeves Young performed Construction Management services for this 130,000 SQ FT, five-story and four-story twin tower with a fivestory curtain wall glass connecting atrium. The facility includes classrooms, tiered lecture halls, computer labs, offices, conference rooms, multipurpose room with moveable partitions, study rooms, 72 seat classroom, foreign language lab, media lab, sound stage with studio, sound recording room, faculty lounges, AV control room, work room, and large atrium. The new facility is a concrete structure with structural steel. The exterior features brick, curtain wall glass and natural stone. The project also received a Project Achievement Award from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).

Reeves Young was selected as Construction Manager for this new 93,210 SQ FT academic building on a 25-acre greenfield site. The project features a 3-story educational building that houses the Health & Life Science/Computer Science/Business/Education/Criminal Justice and Math/English departments. Specialty learning spaces were included for anatomy/ dissection labs, patient care and early childhood labs, general classrooms, and TEAL classrooms. Also included are three lecture halls, bookstore, and administrative offices.

Industrial Technology Center for North Georgia Technical College. The facility houses space for the Heating and Air Conditioning Program, CNC/Machine Tool Program as well as economic development, continuing education, existing business and industry training, a catering kitchen, and an event center conference room that seats approximately 240 people banquet style.

Reeves Young completed this 32,460 SF renovation of the Instructional Support Center including 17 classrooms, public spaces, and restrooms, as well as accessibility upgrades. The renovation incorporated new AV technology, MEP systems, furnishings, and finishes. The instructional center serves the College of Architecture, Computing, Engineering, Liberal Arts, and Sciences. Renovations allowed for multiple new approaches to teaching by offering flexible, informal meetings and teaching spaces. Construction was staged over two summer breaks with two mobilizations to accommodate school activities and minimize disruptions.

Reeves Young performed heavy civil site work and construction services for this renovation project which consisted of facility improvements for Emory’s championship softball program including the addition of new coaches offices, player’s facility with locker room, lounge, and restroom/ showers. The renovation additionally included a new pressbox, public restrooms, new permanent bleacher seating, new VIP terrace, as well as a walkway connection to Eagle Row and Peavine Parking Deck. The heavy civil scope involved site demolition, site grading, utilities, and stormwater management. 4

Reeves Young was selected to renovate this former Howard Johnson hotel built in 1972, and convert it into into Clifton Tower Residence Hall. Upon the hotel’s closure in 2014, the 5-story facility had never had a major upgrade until it was renovated by Reeves Young in 2019. The purpose of the renovation project was to increase the occupancy capacity and ensure that the facility met building codes. This fast-track project blended the best features of residence hall and apartment-style living and provided 140 beds and amenities such as study rooms, laundry facilities, and a common kitchen. Exterior renovations included new windows, exterior paint, and rebuilding the South Elevation utilizing a panelized EIFS wall system with energy efficient windows.

This project was part of Georgia Institute of Technology’s on-going effort to improve the teaching and learning environments in their well-utilized instructional spaces. It included the renovation of a 4,500 SQ FT auditorium on the first floor of the Instructional Center. Seating was replaced and reconfigured to meet current codes and the entrance was remodeled to increase capacity from 280 to 300 seats. Mechanical systems and lighting were also replaced, and fire suppression systems were extended into the auditorium.

Reeves Young provided construction services for four of the largest synthetic intramural fields in the Southeast for soccer, lacrosse, and football. The scope included demolition of existing sidewalks, walls, synthetic field and stairs, new concrete walls, paving, electrical, site work, fencing, storage unit and landscaping. Two new underground stormwater detention systems with 60” corrugated metal pipe were also installed.

This extraordinary adaptive reuse project of a historical 1925 hospital was transformed into the downtown campus and nursing school for the University of West Georgia. The existing structure included multiple renovations and additions complied over a period of 86 years. The completed facility includes early childhood and patient care labs, lecture rooms and classrooms and offices.

This renovation and addition to the existing Student Center offers students opportunities to become engaged in the campus community and foster relationships with others. The 26,146 SQ FT addition was completed first and tied into the existing building, requiring the removal of the building skin, spanning two levels, exposing the structure allowing for the buildings to be connected. The expanded facility includes a Dance Studio, Student Study Area, Game Room, Lounges, Bookstore, Conference Spaces, and Support Spaces. Additionally, the 11,354 SQ FT renovation included a two-story Lobby, an expanded Dining Hall and new boiler. The ground floor of the existing space received full renovation while 80% of the second floor received interior renovation.
