We wanted to extend the highest level of security across MAGRABI Hospital & Centers’ distributed environment of multiple hospitals, clinics and branches in the region. Given the complexity of our healthcare networks and the growing volume of devices connected to our network, we were in the phase of architecting our integrated security platform to act as our first line of defense, specially securing our remote access. We also wanted to apply a world class advanced malware detection and capabilities to analyze suspicious inbound, outbound, and internal network activity, and deliver custom sandbox analysis to detect, stop and mitigate never seen before DNA reshaped attacks. We also needed advanced email and web security solutions to help mitigate cyber-risks by detecting and removing threats such as malicious links in emails and attachments.

What were the problems with the earlier system in place?

We have been using SonicWall firewalls for some time and were looking for an integrated security platform that offered comprehensive protection for our hospital, branches and clinics that can deliver best in class well trust security platform, zero touch deployment and centralised monitoring, management, reporting and analytics. Moving to SonicWall made sense for us as a company

because we are always looking for innovative solutions which match up with specific emerging technology trends.

How was SonicWall chosen for the project? Was there a tendering process?

We raised an open tendering process following our polices and standard to select the best value added technology and provider. We identified SonicWall as our security vendor of choice after thoroughly evaluating several vendors on the market. The SonicWall Boundless cyber security platform capabilities and the role SonicWall played as a security advisor was definitely a defining moment.

Tell us about how SonicWall provided the PoC and the assistance required in understanding the requirements?

SonicWall provided MAGRABI Hospitals & Center with multiple solutions architecting session to conclude the best practice architecture that fits our industry and infrastructure. This was followed by a POC for the final approved architecture and detailed POC results and recommendation was presented. This led to deployment flexibility with high-availability, clustering, branch office connectivity, and centralised management, and reporting. This was combined with advanced SonicWall Antivirus solutions with Firewalls, which allowed us to deploy Web Filtering and Secure Remote Working via secure VPN using two factor authentications. SonicWall Capture Client, meanwhile, powered by SentinelOne, ensured that we are completely protected from new threats and we have extensive visibility to what’s happening with our endpoints.

Which products and solutions were used in the final project deployed at the hospital?

We used the following products and solutions from SonicWall: • SonicWall Firewall (Different

Models to fit each hospital, branch and clinic) • SonicWall Capture Security

Center • SonicWall Cloud Application

Security • SonicWall Hosted Email Security • SonicWall Secure Mobile Access • Premier Support • SonicWall Professional services

What sort of applications will the products and solutions in place be used for?

SonicWall will be our centralized security platform that provide on premises, cloud and remote workers across our distributed architecture

How was the overall experience with SonicWall in regard to the engagement, deployment, training (if any), post-deployment support, and so on?

We liked the pure, non-product focused, security consulting approach to help us to redesign our security best practice. We appreciated the complete cybersecurity platform vision covering all our requirements. One of the key factors in selecting SonicWall was to maximize the efficiency of the IT team and overall infrastructure, allowing for proper healthcare to be administered to patients consistently.

What was the unique advantage of going for SonicWall’s products and solutions?

Zero Touch deployment with singlepane-of-glass visibility, management and reporting were convenient and offered improved efficiency.

What about ground support? Did SonicWall work with its regional or local partner/system integrator in delivering the solution?

From day on 1, we have been walking this journey hand in hand with SonicWall’s regional team and their partner right through the planning, delivery and implementation phase.

How was the local partner/system integrator chosen for this project?

There were multiple factors when we partnered with SonicWall and the local system integrator as following: • Very well trained and experienced with SonicWall Platform • Regional presence across the

Middle East • Professional services capabilities

Capabilities to provide 24x7x365 support

Has the problem been resolved? What value-add has the solution offered?

With proper planning and support from the SonicWall team, we were able to solve all our concerns and are proud that we will continue providing our customer with the best of class services they deserve. Our goal was to deploy security solutions that tied in with our larger vision of IT security which focuses on protecting information and ensuring nothing interrupts patient care nor impacts productivity I would say that the proper planning with the right service helped facilitate the project execution. We liked the pure, not-product-focused, security consulting approach to help redesign our security best practice. We loved SonicWall’s complete cybersecurity platform vision covering all our requirements.
