[HOTEL HOSPITAL[[

Since the second half of twentieth century up today, the architectural design of hospital buildings has faced great changes. These changes are coming from vital role that these types of buildings will play in city context and society as urban features.

Wide Surveys on typology of current health centers in IRAN leads to such disappointed results, for years these buildings have been built on base of repetition of some pre-designed blocks, which are covered with a shell around as building and finalized as building of hospital. So complicated network of path are generated which mostly are very narrow and dark corridors that arouse sense of fear and stress in users more and more, hence this is the time to redefine and re-evaluate the values that are affecting hospitals and healthcare centers quality of services that leads users to calmness during their experiences in these types of centers.

Designing hospitals is not becoming too much problematic issues just because of its mostly huge scale in design but the critical points comes out as it should be considering interconnection of such very complicated functions that covers areas from medical science to engineering, psychology… etc. Those mentioned areas are always faced with vital changes by time, even day by day. Best solutions are desired as inevitably these types of places affecting peoples feelings so directly There are values that should be considered which persuade comfort feelings and reduce stress and pain in patients, like perfect distribution of areas, shape of volume, alignment to site’s context, view to outside, green spaces, furnishing, materials, color and light.

This hotel hospital is belonging to private section as owner, of course these private units seeking their profits in creative and pioneer designs that are becoming very effective motivation points for having best costumer service and attracting more users. So for these units, users are considered both precious guests for the hospital as well as demander of healthiness whom pay for it; The better buildings quality, attract more customers, give better services and earn more profit, this is the goal.

*

Mashhad hotel hospital it is located adjacent to one of most crowded roads of Mashhad city with high possibility of rising in noise pollution in future. For having less affection from sound pollution, the expansion of the building in the site is in a way to have most distance from road.

*

This building and its specific generated spaces unlike the other common types of health centers are very bright spaces, which in composition to specific colors increase efficiency of daylight usage in interiors

Residential neighborhoods designed around the local park and each one has a middle yard with green spaces and grounds for playing children. Kindergarten, meeting space, rest and leisure rooms, some shops and janitor houses are located on the ground floors. Each neighborhood has combination of residential blocks with different heights in order to have different interesting spaces. Besides, each block consists of various houses to response different family tastes.

The building was designed from the inside out. Internal spaces are perfectly rectangular and easy to furnish, allowing one to take maximum advantage of each square foot. The building was also designed from the outside in to prove that a minimalistic, dynamic, unusual and playful aesthetic can indeed embellish the city.

[Villa H+[[

Villa H+ is located in suburb of Tabriz, designed for a family with two children. Due to energy resources limitations it is necessary to optimize design of buildings in point of saving energy. For this purpose, suitable direction of buildings is so important because of reducing of heating, cooling load and wasting energy in buildings.

Thermal comfort access Economy the environment Solar radiation control To create the thermal comfort in interior (warm n winter and cool in summer), the main facade of the building should be to the south. Southeast and southwest, although are arranged to gain a better solar radiation but in summer are warmer and in winter are cooler than the southern facade. It’s seen a lake from west side of the site. Hence, It I a good point to consider this in design process. The only way to access this site is from the west. If the building is located the west site some advantages appear including low costs of construction because of ease of transportations of materials.

I have designed a filtered space in main entrance to avoid annoying and cold wind to enter the house from the north, because the side of the house does not receive solar radiation.

SitePlan

Sadegh Raoufi Fard [2011-2020]

Southeast of the site is the highest point. Although it may provide better view, excavation volume increases. So in terms of economy, it does not seem reasonable. It is better to be built where slope of the land is lower. It has so many advantages including lower costs, ease of material transportation and less damage to the environment. And it goes to the High efficiency.

-ARCHITECTURAL PORTFOLIO/

All the space where there is no temperature control with ventilation equipment, such as parking lots, corridors, stair cases and etc. In design process uncontrolled spaces are located at adjacent to north walls. Hence, they act like a filter for the spaces that need heating.

Passive solar gain (it obtained through windows) is likely to be limited. To avoid this problem, green house is intended for this living area that exposed to sun light becomes significantly warmer than the external ambient temperature. Protecting its contents in cold weather. Green house traps the sun’s energy inside and keeps the things warm.

Saffein cultural center gives people a reason to leave their home into the public space and enjoy their time in the old texture of beautiful Kish island. Main concept of Saffein cultural center is an old pattern in southern classical architecture of Iran called “Moraba’e”. In this pattern masses placed like a narrow bar around U or L shape field and it defines a new meaning of courtyard.

This project aims to determine the optimum geometry of the building blocks in order to ensure that building mass gain maximum solar energy in winter season when we need reduce energy usage by passive design to systems in the Tehran university site as micro urban fabric that has cold and dry climate.

To conduct the optimization process, Galapagos evolutionary solver component was used in a part of site. In this project, different parameters of form finding were studied for designing building façade considering Massing Solar Benefit which requires care to improve quality of the maximum the solar light in winter and minimum solar heat in summer. The model simulated here was a generic school in Tehran university site, Iran. Therefore, Daylight was simulated using Tehran’s annual weather data. The best optimal solutions were obtained through balancing Massing Solar Benefit in winter and summer the direct sun exposure of the school›s form.
