about
me
Indiana State University Alumni, with an accredited degree in Interior Architecture Design with a minor in Construction Management. When it comes to design, I feel that every space leaves an impression on the mind and body. Spaces must be created not only to accomplish the goals set but also to inspire the mind to travel around the space. I have a strong interest in sustainable design because green is the future and our environment is important. Design is fun, but it is also a lifestyle to me, whether it is commercial or residential design, I love them both. Modern and Japanese designs have always been my favorites but really every design period had something special to me. My mind is like a sponge where ever I land, soaking up all the information that is possible with an eagerness to learn. I believe that great design is therapeutic.
"traveling the world is great, but creating it is better"

Nurse Station
Level two of the building was completely dedicated to the patients and the nurse’s station. The flooring mimics the gradient concept and the ceiling was used to create visual interest. Coupled with the pop art on the walls gives the space a more modern art gallery style for the patients’ living quarters.
Hallway
Third oor specialty
Level three was dedicated to the specialization of pediactric cancer and counseling. The idea was to keep this floor more minimal for cleaning and sterilization matter, but features large curtain walls to open the space and create a inclusive feeling.

This project was given as a challlenge to design for a model client of our selection. My model client was someone who enjoyed staying at home and entertaining. My client was also someone that enjoyed working out and shopping. I decided to give the client a contemporary open space that could easily enterain multiple people and having the kitchen flow right through the space.

details
The Erhmann building is designed to capture an elegant feeling merging its Italianate exterior with a Neoclassical interior. The two styles wil add character and charm, complementing Terre Haute’s downtown architecture. A linear spatial plan wil allow the space to be uncluttered and open. The use of somber colors such as cream, gray, pale blue, yellow, green, and red reiteratesthe gracefulness and comfort of neoclassicalism. Also, ceiling and wall ornamentation are used to emphasize the design. Thefirst floor of the building is designed to cater to classic, dapper men, leaving the secondfloor to be dedicated for elegant women. They wil complement each other using the same motifs and colors, but stil capture their masculine and feminine characteristics seperately. The first floor’s warm artificial lighting allows the space to be more inviting; while the combination ofwarm artificial light and bright natural light from the large windows on the front facade on the second floor creates balance.
Original Building front view
The inspriation that was taken from this photo was the large chandelier and colors to portray Neoclassicism.
This image gave inspration to add wall molding throughout the space to create a more antique look.
“Are You Being Served was a tv show, where the main setting was at a haberdashery which was the main influence to create this project.

The first floor was to service men only. The plan was laid out to have retail in the front of the building then leave the back of the building to be the haberdastery. This was for men to have their recently purchased suits from the front or old suits be fitted for them properly by a tailor in the back. Haberdasheries also make completely custom suits from material laid out in the shop so that required for their service area to be large. original staircase not to code UP

description
Year: Senior 2017 Project type: Hospitality Project Criteria: 22,000 sqft. Posed Problem: Senior Thesis Project Building: (Exsiting)Industrial Bdg , Phoenix, AZ Specialization: Lounge Programs used: Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator
The Owl lounge is designed to incorporate the complexity and simplicity of geometrical shapes within the architecture to invoke movement for the user visually. The walls are formed in different ways by overlapping, recessing, protruding, and having additive and subtractive characteristics, which will also suggest movement and paths of travel. Combining that with an earthy color scheme of browns, tans, and oranges to immolate a woodland setting the user should feel comfortable and warm. The furniture will suggest a more high-end space that adds softness and comfort. While the flooring will be multi-surfaced and multi-leveled to create more interest within the space.

The roof of the building is used to help power the building with HELIX Solar Panels and also solve the goal of green design.

This rendering details the back of the bar during the evening. The bar features multi-leveled drop down ceilings with vertical and horizontal wooden beams. This is to portray an abstracted tree for the woodland concept of the lounge. Cactus are placed above in glass casing to add greenery and life to the space, with wood wrapped columns below for support and seperation between the elevated booths. The bar lays on orange carpet and draw out the lighting in the room for more balance. The lighting above the bar should suggest more tree elements but also add more visual interest to the focal point of the lounge shining light onto the floor for a night time setting in the woods.
